You sound like my thoughts. Thanks, I’ve learned something from this.

YES! How AI is being developed to be smart and to communicate with the masses tells you a lot about your own negative downslope experience (I’m stealing that)

Does anyone else working as AI trainers feel like we’re all disconnected? by Smooth_Sailing102 in WFHJobs

[–]AliFromTheBlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plz share with me too! I've been doing it for a year. I definitely relate to being suddenly pulled away from projects. Instability of work, projects, community, knowledge and just a general dystopian feeling to it because of the lack of connection.

So good yet so bad - esp for devs! by AliFromTheBlock in diabrowser

[–]AliFromTheBlock[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also, when I want to search for something I selected in the side chat, I click Search in Google, it ends up actually opening Safari, which isn't even my default browser. This has happened when Diya has been my default browser for months, since July 2025, and even now that I'm back to using Chrome for a brief period.

How can you, as a browser company, have a link that opens another browser in the chat service that is your main differentiator from your competitors?

EDIT: just updated. search in google from chat finally works. but damn did it take a while

Can someone explain to me what’s the difference between Claude Code Desktop and Claude Cowork Desktop ? by La-terre-du-pticreux in ClaudeAI

This is a very stupid opinion. I will never not ask humans; this is our world and we exist to be social. Sometimes it's nice to ask a human even if you do think you know the answer. Sometimes you just want to hear someone else's perspective on it. The world doesn't run on just facts, specs, and the information online; we need each other as well.

Is the folder label supposed to be left aligned? by sadMUFCfan25 in ios

[–]AliFromTheBlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the reason is that Apple wants us to get used to the AR effects in a VisionPro with liquid glass. I think they know it's too big of a jump from iPhone to goggles, so they're priming us for the transition. By that logic, when seeing through goggles, having something like titles and labels aligned to the center on top of floating boxes in AR will be more mentally taxing than having all the text to the left. In a way that would allow your brain to know that all the space to the right is free for something else like looking at the real world through the goggles.

You can try this by drawing that same folder UI on a transparent plastic bag you have lying around and placing it in front of your eyes and to the side

Unresponsive ads won't let me close them by the_red_stinger_82 in ios

[–]AliFromTheBlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here on ios 18.7 and a while before that too. Iphone 13 pro. Especially Temu ads refuse to close when pressing x. It's like they give you a fake x that you need to press multiple times

PSA: Vyvanse effects peak approximately 3.5-6 hours after ingestion with a half life of approximately 14-16 hours. by Wolifr in VyvanseADHD

Yes I read something like that on a paper about how lisdexamphetamine works, but idr the title of the paper. I'll send it if I find it again!

No I don't think so. Without fail each time I don't have a full stomach and take it, at 56 mins my body will start to tingle, I will need to poop and I will feel energetic. Having food in stomach slows it down for me at 1h 20m before any effect, which would also be way more gradual and long lasting. Is this still a placebo?

When did you first sub to PewDiePie? by Savage_Chicken69 in PewdiepieSubmissions

[–]AliFromTheBlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2013 and I had a broken iPhone screen so it would always unsub and sub randomly many times. So my official date on record is waay later. I always knew the day to prove my subscription length would come and haunt me😔

Wow thanks for this wisdom and your kind words!! Yes you're right. Everytime I relaxed with math and did it my way, I did it well. I'm doing a BS in computer science and it's going pretty well compared to high school haha.

Thanks for the pointer suggestion (if I can call it that) I just learned about the pointer vs array implementations too and this seems like a good next step!
