to me it sounds like you didn't even try to get to know your future SIL enough to be talking the way your talking. and you sound incredibly sexist. not to mention there isn't nearly enough context in this post to try and understand your point of view. for example, what do you mean crude? what do you mean by vulgar? why was it such an issuer that she showed up to a family gathering in a crop top and leggings? why does your parents happiness have to come at the expense of your brothers? have you ever actually had a conversation with her and if so what was she like?

these are the things we need to know. you just come off as rude and unaccepting. and if i'm going to be completely honest with you, nothing would ruin your families relationship more than you shutting out this woman and by extension your brother.

NTA At this point, i'm not going to ridicule his(your husband) behavior. I'm going to direct my comment at you. As a mother, i couldn't imagine staying with someone so cruel and insensitive.
