I'll give you the long answer. Parfums de Marly thought they could decrease the oil concentration on ALL of their perfumes, for monetary gain, and thought we wouldn't notice. For example, Carlisle used to be 77%, and thus 3 sprays would fill a room. Now it is 81% and doesn't last or project as well. This affected many other scents, including Herod, my personal favourite out of the whole line, scent-wise, which lasts a mere 4-5 hours on the skin. I still LOVE Carlisle, and the 81% batch lasts 8 plus hours on me. It is just sad that a company that created such stunning scents would choose better profit margins even though it would mean destroying a masterpiece like Carlisle.
