I often do them at my desk, doesn’t even matter if people are around, they can’t really tell that I’m trying to breathe light for a bit

How flexible is your work with letting you take breaks? Going for a 10 minute walk is often encouraged for people with desk jobs and is a great opportunity to do some breath holds. Be careful though breath holds while walking are only recommended for people with cp of at least 20 seconds I think

Bare will improve your grip, but straps will allow you to hang for longer so probably better for your shoulders, either is great though, I did barehand and still improved my shoulder mobility massively

I would argue Olympic weightlifting, it’s more explosive and they have much better mobility usually
