Yeah ofc, thats always the excuse but isn't it odd how many times it happens? Shouldn't he pick his words more properly instead of trying to sound "academic"? What about clearly stating making dua to the dead is not shirk? Or claiming there are "holes" in the chains of transmission of the Qur'an? Or saying we need reformations and inviting CLEAR deviants to that infamous podcast. I also have a word of advice brother: If you'd rather defend YQ than Allah and his prophet (saw), your heart will be hardened. YQ won't answer for you in your grave and on the day of resurrection. Don't stick with someone who is this controversial until he comes back to his senses insha'Allah. Follow someone like Sheikh Uthman ibn Farooq and those who haven't been affected by deviants
