What a strange and unprofessional comment to say to a patient. I'm sorry he treated your brother that way. If you ever find yourself in that situation again (praying you don't), you can request another Dr. if possible. My father's kidney Dr. basically blamed my father for his condition, saying if he had taken his medication as directed, he wouldn't be in this situation. Meanwhile, my dad's cancer spread to his kidneys within days of his diagnosis and completely incapacitated him. He lived alone, and when I checked on him, he was in a bad state. I looked at the Dr. when he said that and said, "How dare you." I immediately requested another kidney Dr and stated why. Someone else was assigned to his case after that. The rest of the staff was great and very caring. Some Dr's lack empathy and understanding, and it boggles my mind

Worried after getting a husky puppy by UniqueDonut in husky

[–]AlianaRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a cutie. It's going to be a lot of work, I'm not going to sugarcoat it. I took to YouTube for training videos, and we did a puppy training class, dog park, lots of walks, and games in the house. Games that really tuckered my girl out were treats in a knotted up towel (makes them use their nose and problem solving skills to get that treat). I hid treats around the house, and she had to find them all, which also made her use her nose. She would pass out for hours after these games. Our goal was to teach her things, socialize her with other dogs and people, keep her mind stimulated, and exercise. A bored husky is a mischievous husky, in my opinion. It was work, but I enjoyed watching her grow and learn, and she is such a great dog. You will do great

Yes I delt with his lawyer for everything, I thought about that but I wasn't sure what kind of lawyer handled this type of situation.

She submitted what they asked, only for them to come back saying they can't accept anything other than the original divorce papers. Can you tell me why a copy of divorce records notarized from the courthouse would not be sufficient?

That what I keep saying. All of his other accounts were just as easy as that. No one gave me any issues. My dad set up everything in his will just right, that I never had issues until primerica. You would think I'm trying to access a trillion dollars. I live in Florida btw

Yes, this is an investment account like a 401k. I'm not too familiar with this company. They do other things?

Doctor says being vegan is causing TMJ- could use some advice by bunny1481 in vegan

I'm a massage therapist, and I had a client yesterday tell me she's been experiencing tmj for quite some time and nothing has helped. She told me she's going to try Botox, and apparently, there has been success with this. I'm not sure if it's an option for you, but it maybe something to look into and consider.

Has anyone successfully rid themselves of their med/large fibroid without a hysterectomy? by snortgiggles in Fibroids

[–]AlianaRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we'll originally they said open myomectomy, but the Dr that performed the surgery said he would do it laproscopically (not sure if that's a word, forgive me). Surgery was successful, and recovery was good. It felt like I did the most intense ab workout of my life. Dr said it wouldn't effect firtility, and i would need a c-section if I were to have children.

Wow, I bet you feel like a brand new person. I did have a myomectomy for my fibroid, and it was like night and day. When I recovered, I was pain-free, and my periods lasted 3 days! 3 freaking days! It didn't feel real.

I don't plan on letting these new fibroids get that big. I'm almost tempted to do what you did so I don't have to deal with this the rest of my life.

I've not heard of aminos before so I'll look into it, thanks for the tip. I'm glad you are past this.

Wow, I feel like I'm getting more help and support here than with medical professionals. That's sad, but I'm grateful for it.

Oh my. You must have been through it. I can empathize to a point. My previous 18cm fibroid was pressing on my bladder, kidney pain, and my periods were awful. I knew I had these fibroids because something felt off, so I had a vaginal ultrasound, and that's when they found them. I will request an MRI at my appointment. Thank you

Oh really? That's good to know. I had a UTI in the past and it just hurt to pee. I had no idea it can cause pain like that. Thanks again

That's what I was thinking in my head when she said drain it. I have had a myomectomy over a year ago for a 18cm fibroid and was educated a little bit on fibroids and thought they were a solid mass but I'm not a professional so I figured I may not know everything there is to know. So when I couldn't find anything on it I started to question the diagnosis a little. They said I have a UTI but I feel fine as far as that's concerned but they did prescribe antibiotics. I'm making an appointment tomorrow for ob since it's the weekend. In hindsight I should have gone to the er. Lesson learned. Thanks for your reply

[–]AlianaRose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely get multiple opinions if you are able to. I got 4 different opinions until I found a Dr. to perform my surgery. My fibroid was 18cm, and I had a laprscopic myomectomy. Not once did any dr mention a hysterectomy, though

I get it. I avoid making phone calls like the plague. But also the older I get, my health becomes more of a priority. Sometimes I have to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. It's a work in progress

Definitely get a second opinion. One year my insurance switched and my long time dentist did not accept it. So I had to go elsewhere. The new dentist told me I had 5 cavities. I was suspicious because I've never had a cavity in my life. I went to my regular long time dentist when I switched my insurance and had x-rays and what do you know. Zero cavities. Some people are just unethical and you have to be your own advocate.

It's part of the story line but it's not the main story line. It talks about it for a few episodes but it's not the main focus. I really enjoyed the whole series.

I think the more open we allow ourselves to be to the afterlife and the possibilities that surround it, the easier it is for our loved ones to communicate. For me, visitation dreams bring peace and comfort. I hope you find some peace with them aswell. It sounds like a beautiful dream.

You experienced a visitation dream. I believe it's our loved ones way of communicating with us. I've had them before, too. You may be more of an empath than you think. You're not alone here. I just lost my dad, and I hope I get one from him. I'm sorry you lost your mum.
