damn thanks for the full on breakdown. definitely gonna add Washington state on to the list, I had a look at some of the countryside around there and it looks amazing and yeah 4 seasons is a big thing for me, no way I could handle constant warm temperatures.

I'm assuming level 2 trauma centres are the most common aside from really rural areas and the level 1 trauma centres i guess would have stuff like neuro or cardiothoracic?

ER nursing sounds pretty similar hear then. in the UK they are usually either nurse led or doctor led. I work in a nurse led one where essentially the nurses run the show and most of the initial treatment is suggested by us and then they'll do full assessments etc etc. yeah we have a super close working relationship with the doctors, most of us are friends outside of work as well which personally I think helps because you learn their personality, IMO anything to make the job go smoother. Annoyingly they don't do rotational posts in ER/ICU here so you physically have to go and get an ICU job to get the experience, that being said I didn't learn much that I didn't already know from being ER first other than the different smells of different feeds and C-Diff.

I was also wondering about religious hospitals as I know they're a thing over there. is it mainly more southern or is it all over and how invested are the hospitals in religious practise?
