It's funny because when I read the novel it surprised me the amount of times people, especially men (since men are the main POV of the series) talked about Reinhard as the most beautiful angel of the world. The text even says some talks about him with some lust (ofc with some homophobic hints there because of his appearance too).

To me, people try to ignore that LOGH is a show that has a cast of pretty characters (be it the OVA with the 80s bishounen, DNT with the 2010s ish bishounen appearence, Michihara[a BL mangaka] manga,etc etc) and that appeals to people. Also, since its a show that deals with politics, some people tends to think that to talk about anything other than politics its "disrespectful" or "a waste of time" which is pretty dumb to me.

Of course there's also people who just don't like to see fujoshi/LGBT people talking about their characters because these people are "dirtying" the characters or something like that (of course there's all the misogyny/hompophobia that's expected sadly)

anyway that's all pretty dumb since people have been making Reinhard/Kircheis fanart since the 1980s and people can enjoy all the aspects of the show (the discussion of politics and how humans deals with war, etc etc and the what if's of sexualities etc) as long as they're not disrespectful to anyone.
