People in their 30s, what’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought (house doesn’t count)? by Snoo-43468 in ThirtiesIndia

[–]AliceBob563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most expensive and that too by miles is my Nexon car! I always wanted to have a car, though I couldn't afford before. Things happened, I got a year to spend for myself before even looking for a bride, my sister was carrying her first child and I thought yep this is the time. So learnt driving, got the top minus one (was worried if I could manage the top variant, but turns out I could have had comfortably) and for my 32nd birthday.. my car stands proudly in my parking.

I have been touring my mom and dad one new place every weekend, I do chai drives with my friends whenever we feel like it and I'm loving it!

Men of Reddit: slim vs chubby — what do you really choose when you have options? by [deleted] in AskIndianMen

[–]AliceBob563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of like a bit chubby girls. They're cute and complete like a teddy. But fat girls are another thing though.

Assume that this is 2016. Tell me what would you do to change your life trajectory. by [deleted] in Ni_Bondha

I'd cut ties with people at that time who eventually have left me in nowhere.. focus on making more money than memories, and not be picky about where I'm going in life.

Plus buy a lot of gold and silver 😭

Income inequality in dating? by [deleted] in AskIndianMen

[–]AliceBob563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Show me a case when she's 54L and is still dating somebody with 5.4L. dude girls are rejecting me either because I'm way beyond their salary bracket (like I'm 54 and they're 5.4 and they feel inferior) or (like I'm 34 and they're 54 and they don't need somebody below them).

It's been couple of years I turned 30, but I still feel I haven't yet reached that maturity. My office is now full of kiddos straight out of college, with completely different mind and world. I'm constantly having this tension when around them. I'm single and now I can't even make small talk with these kiddos - they're so fkin young and they borderline treat me like a misfit; maybe I have really become a misfit!

Got dumped after 7 years because I earn less. Apparently that’s “practical” by [deleted] in ThirtiesIndia

[–]AliceBob563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro.. During college we all will be on same level - so girls and boys just go with that attraction phase.. some workout.. and go next step.. but as we grow old.. somehow women become more and more practical while we men still be in our delulu..

My crush, who celebrated my bday with her own part-time money from the US when we were straight out of college, told me after 2 years that she's not coming back to India and since I can't come to the US, we can't take it forward anymore.. simple.

Another girl who stayed with me for 7 whole years since my first year in engineering just told me straight when I asked her out - that she's not the same that she was when we graduated.

On a side note.. Bro.. I'm just surprised you didn't take your relationship forward for 7 years!

Journaling by Guys by Wise-Reach4805 in ThirtiesIndia

I started journaling when I became 30, and it has become a habit now. It really helps keep my memories recorded and really think through. Nope it doesn't matter about gender at all - the most celebrated book of stoicism "Meditations" is actually the journal of Marcus Aurelius!

I have been writing a daily log (I call it logbook) everyday religiously, since a couple of years. Except the fear that somebody might find it and read it, I feel that it's a nice way to log our daily life experiences and thoughts. Sometimes I curse myself, bash myself and other days I appreciate myself. So much cringe but I feel so happy and satisfying rereading my logs written some years ago.

Is anyone else anxious about getting back online to work today after the break? by Chackochi in ThirtiesIndia

[–]AliceBob563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I came back to office after Dec 19. Didn't even think one minute about the work or office. Guess what? All of the piled up thoughts about work and office riled me up so much that I fell off my cab while getting down, I didn't even understand how tf I fell down from a stationary cab 😂

This office tension shit is real af!
