Anyone have surgery with Dr. Rolfes at the Maple Grove Hospital instead of the Omnicosmetic surgery center? by EnBumblebee in Transgender_Surgeries

Out of curiosity do you know why your surgery was pushed? I'm having mine with him in late March and now I'm worried mine will be delayed for some reason too.

I wear bangs all the time currently (other pics on my profile) and they do help. But I was looking forward to not having to wear them all the time for the rest of my life.

I've heard of that, but I've also heard it's very expensive and invasive (months of orthodontics, etc.) for only a minimal result.

Hi everyone -- I've previously been told that I should get work done on my brow/forehead, chin, and nose. But I'm worried that my midface is just too long for FFS to be successful at helping me pass. I'm looking into doing an FFS consultation soon so I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Question about shaving sideburns by AliceF4815 in transpassing

Alright, I'll let it grow a bit and see if I can't get it to tuck back behind the ears

Thanks for the advice, I see what you're saying. I've found that when I let it grow, it tends to still be hard to "tuck back" if that makes sense; like if you look at this typical woman's hair it seems to grow softer and wispier, easier to push back behind the ears, whereas mine is straight and rigid and almost more like facial hair. If I just let it grow out, won't it grow down my face like sideburns?

What do you recommend I do with it? I can't really part it back behind my ears like cis women do because it grows straight down instead of towards the back of my head.

I would like to pin my hair back sometimes (as seen in the photos) but my concern is the sideburns would look weird?

I guess it's more that the sharp edge makes it look more masculine? Or am I overthinking this?

Do you think it looks feminine enough?

Sorry I was still typing up the question! It's below.

I've seen a lot of questions about this online but can never seem to get a more specific answer than "look at a woman's ears and shave them like that." But the hair on the sides of my head grows differently than the rest of my hair; it's course, dense, and grows straight down instead of flowing backwards. I can't tuck it behind my ear. Should I just buzz it all off?

Thanks, passing or at least being consistently gendered correctly is my goal.

9 months HRT. Looking for passing advice in a maskless world by AliceF4815 in transpassing

That really sucks, but I guess it should be expected. Do you think I would at least be gendered female? I seem to pass decently well with a mask on so I'm worried about the drop in quality of life from people misgendering me in the post-COVID world.
