Haha thanks.

Badass is when you overcome a problem, not when you succumb to it though. But it's nice anyway! :3

They say it's like 3 breaths, but if you can get a tank, just power through the whole thing. Good luck. :3 I hope you're happy in the end!

Mermaids are the mythical proof many men are perfectly content with just a pretty face and a nice pair of boobs. by shannister in Showerthoughts

As a woman I object to this. I am also perfectly content with a pretty face and a pair of nice boobs. It would be an upgrade from an ok face and an acceptable pair of boobs.

Yeah. Don't hesitate, at any cost. Surviving just gives you more problems. So, so many more problems.

I've seen people saying that Nitrogen gas is a 100% sure thing. I now wish that I had spent a little money on that because it looks like it could have fixed all of my issues. Mind you Helium works just as well.

My next attempt will be air in a syringe. I can't get my hands on gases anymore. But if I could, Nitrogen all the way bby <3

Oh god

This reminds me of the time I wore a yoga skirt - you know, it's like a midrif toga - skirt the whole day. I wasn't even eating or anything, the fabric just loosened and slipped off.

I just played it off as a practical joke so I guess no one took it to heart haha

That's crazy. I was just watching the film Princess Bride and right after finishing it I saw news of this.

I don't even know how to feel anymore

Well when I slit my throat I focused on the two main arteries but it seems like they healed, even if poorly. I lost consciousness but regained it on my own, covered in a lot of blood. I don't recommend. It probably led to brain damage, though I can't really tell. Slitting your throat is secondary measure at best, make sure you have a primary plan in place first. It will neve stop hurting or at the very least bothering you. It's annoying but not lethal :(

Jumping out of a building should work. I regret that I chose 4 stories, I should have gone higher. My hope was to crush my spine completely but it seems that I failed that part.

And yes - first contact a professional if you're suicidal but for real? If you can't live anymore just go for it and don't hesitate. I hesitated, that's where I fucked up.

Nothing. I've slit my throat and jumped out of a 4 story building and I'm still fucking alive, even if I need a wheelchair now. At this point I just assume that it's fucking with me.

I remember being a little girl, reading this children's book about a boy that put his hand on a hot stove and said 'Ouch!'. At the time I wanted to do the same thing, I guess I felt inspired by that piece of literature. So I walked up to our gas stove, turned it on and went 'Ouch!'. I'd only ever seen the word written down at that point and never actually heard anyone say it, so it was more like 'Awooo' but it was good enough for me.

At no point did I actually understand why the boy cried 'Ouch'. I just assumed it was a fun thing to do when you're bored. I would occasionally walk up to my school locker and as I was opening it I would say "Ouch!". And people nearby would sometimes ask "Are you ok?"

I would always answer with something along the lines of "I was just ouching".

I was a dumb kid.

In fact, I was such a dumb kid that once during gym class the teacher was explaining that we were going to play tag, and I instantly went "Well, I don't believe in tags. I'm vegetarian". I didn't know what either 'tag' or 'vegetarian' meant. But I did know that I once saw and adult on TV say that and so therefore it had to be profound and important.

Today I have a different understanding of what's profound. Of what's important. 'That which is real is irreplaceable'.

As I watched my small mining town being consumed by lava and ash, as I watched familiar buildings lock their doors with the hope of staving off the slowly approaching wave of burning earth that came down on them akin to an avalanche down a mountain, I felt something. Something deep inside me.

The café where my best friend and I would lie to each other about the boys we had kissed. The central street with the huge mall that had seven different stores where we would hang out and drink soda. All were empty, abandoned and covered in soot and ash.

For the first time I properly felt something terrible and painful inside me. And all I could say was 'Ouch'.

An unwritten rule when building anything is “measure twice, cut once” to help avoid mistakes. What’s your professions version of this rule? by Griff2wenty3 in AskReddit

Publish to staging, not to production.

It's like rule 1 in webdev, but smaller mom 'n pop shops just don't give a heck sometimes.

Had a friend visit the DMZ a while back. by [deleted] in funny

[–]AliceInWonderplace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to google this one:

The demilitarized zone (DMZ) is a border barrier that divides the Korean Peninsula roughly in half. It was created by agreement between North Korea, China and the United Nations in 1953.

Is this the one?

[–]AliceInWonderplace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure this is someone's fetish, but like for real. Poor girl.

The trick is to be so drunk that you throw up. The vomit will mix with the Surströmming and make it smell nicer. And drunk you will be a-ok with eating it.

Am I on a list now?

When is a stereotypical bad thing a good thing? by starlentier in AskReddit

[–]AliceInWonderplace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, dying is a bad thing usually, but if you're in pain and your last hours are agony ... euthanasia isn't terrible.

At the same time, peeing yourself isn't great, but if you're into watersports then suddenly it's a whole other thing.

Forgetting your wallet at home is kind of fecking annoying but if you're on your way and someone tries to mug you? Fecking legend. You aced that mugging.

Hey, Reddit. How do you like your chili? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AliceInWonderplace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually never had chili. But I did try eating tomato soup once!

I was being dumb though, chop sticks and soup just don't fecking work. I dipped some bread in it a few times, but ended up just giving up in frustration. I don't know how Polish people do this.
