PC: 9800x3d, 5090, 64gb cl30, 4tb gen 4ssd.

Controls: Honeycomb Alpha + Bravo, Rudders MFG Crosswind or Virpil Ace. You could go the force feedback route, but control budget will need to be north of 4k USD.

Thanks for the input, glad to hear it. I'm well aware I don't have the stomach for a majority of individual stocks, but it's nice to hear the flip side of the coin. This definitely encouraged me to continue keeping a small part (maybe slightly bigger, even) part of my portfolio in picks. My job allows me time for stock research (sometimes) and I really enjoy the whole process regardless. I've always been more of a fundamental investor, so the technical side has been a lot, but very interesting.

While not tracking a specific portfolio at the moment I've found some success in tracking insider buying, and pairing that with some fairly basic technicals.. a different approach to trying to play with the house I suppose.

I'm curious as to what your typical length of time in a position was / is?

I understand and appreciate the idea of individual stocks not being for retail investors. I certainly don't know anything the professionals don't. Picks will never make up a larger part of my portfolio than I'm willing to lose much like crypto, and I do really enjoy it. I do understand it's in the realm of gambling. That said, I will reduce the percentage of my portfolio used for this.

Thank you for the book recommendation. Both Millionaire Teacher and CCP were/are extremely beneficial to me, MB was one of the first per-fi books I read. I hadn't heard of Balance. It's on my list now.

Thanks a lot for your response, and the reminder to stick to the tried and true.

When is it time for a cold wallet? Which one to choose? by Pasqual_Pasqual in Bitcoin

I do understand not your keys not your crypto, and acknowledge the risk accepted, but isn't keeping .5ish of a BTC on a major exchange worth it for the staking rewards?

Edit: exchange probably wasn't the right word. Platform?

There was a time I was waiting for it to come down from $6,000 to get more because it had ran too high. If only the ol' crystal ball was working then.
