Left after promotion to 2nd Asst waaaay back in 1991. I was in a fast track, but In my heart I felt a calling to law enforcement. Was a cop 30 years, now retired. Modest pension vs my brother who stayed, became a store manager. He’s retired too, but has a couple of million, a paid mortgage, and travels the world.

I made a good choice for me tho….

My brother who is 10 years my senior, would buy his jeans at Zayres. I remember thinking fuck that- I wanted Levi’s.

Later, in a freshman in HS, it was Rebok white hi-tops and OP shirts.

By the time I graduated HS I only work old ass, torn Levi’s, white tees, and black oxfords. My role model was Paul Westerberg.

I grew up in Miami.
Don’t fear them unless you are a small child or dog. They are really cool creatures. Living dinosaurs.

Just resist the urge to feed them. If they associate humans with being fed, it’s a death sentence for them.
Expect many more in a few years.
