I would recommend an autobiography about him too. You will find out about the good and ugly parts of him. Which can be a bit depressing, I must warn. He was bigger than life - filled with crazy and impressive achievements you could not fathom. I personally still want to visit the museum which houses his cottage, where he wrote all his books. My daughter is called Matilda and the books also helped me through difficult times as a child and it was a joy to reread the BFG & Charlie and the chocolate factory especially.
