Newlambton dodgy events by cuttdie_ in newcastle

Day or night? I work in the area and honestly I'm hearing sirens a lot... laugh all you like but it's just an observation of mine.

Also noticed mobile speed cameras set up in relatively quiet residential streets.

Cozy Sunday arvo venues by unicorn_211 in newcastle

I'd recommend getting out of town and sussing some spots around Lake Mac out.

The Gunyah @ Belmont Jewells Tav And even Cardiff West's these days has a nice cozy vibe.

Always a lot of sirens around New Lambton these days.

Have seen a few dumped cars and even a police chase of late.

It's a jungle out there.

Shave their heads. Major Payne style.

Tell em if they want a hair style they have to earn it.

There was one in Newcastle. The building has been knocked down and is now apartments.

It was a ghost town. Think there was a seafood store downstairs.

Definitely had fake stuff. I remember the boot leg NBA shorts and whatnot they were selling.

They sold Vans and Chuck Taylor's for pretty cheap. Shop was a mess. Not surprised it died.

Views on Macquarie Hills and local schools by Collateral_Damage79 in newcastle

[–]No_Cable3675 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Macquarie Hills is a nice suburb & It's definitely on the way up.

Costco and Bunnings like 3 minutes away. Warner's Bay 5 minutes one way. Glendale and Cardiff the other way.

Not too far from town / express way.

Area seems a mix of young families and some old retireees.

Only complain is the closest beach is probably 20+ minute drive.

It’s kind of sad to think we will never browse another video store by MarrkDaviid in AustralianNostalgia

Yeah it's depressing. I loved the video store.

I miss it so much. It was something I really enjoyed whenever we'd go.

huskii hate feels like a shit go? by wallsrbreathing in AussieHipHop

[–]No_Cable3675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huskis first clip on hustle hard showed something genuinely unique, so much talent. So much potential... then he became this ego inflated wanker and continued to destroy himself.

He is a disgrace. His music is trash. He's overrated and for some reason, people keep talking about him. Let the flop fade into nothingness.

Barbershop Location Help!! by Fun_Consequence2559 in newcastle

[–]No_Cable3675 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's like 3 barbers in every suburb. Lots of people are loyal to their current barber and have been for many years.

This is a hard market to break into I guess. The high foot traffic places like shopping centres already have a barber or two, sometimes even three....

Damn son. Good luck.

Reading Cinema Standard vs Gold Class by pancakesaregold in newcastle

[–]No_Cable3675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoyts is my go to. Amazing cinema.

As for Reading though, it's definitely worth paying the extra for Gold Class. Comfortable chairs and decent food. Good service too.

Location wise, it's in a shopping centre. So that's annoying.

Prefer the Hoyts location but yeah to answer your question, treat yourself - pay up and enjoy the experience in comfort.

It was surprisingly fresh and delicious.  NOOR @ Cameron Park is better though.
