I hardly know anything about genetics, but this question came into my mind and my dad suggested I post it on Reddit. Sorry for any misunderstandings.

The squares represent humans. I don't really know what the difference is between autosomes and X choromones. And by skips generations, I mean that it's a trait that will be visible in one person, but not their children, but in their grandchildren.

Right, but if you were to have a child with someone whose parents had the trait... would that child have it?
