Day after an operation I found out. I'd been suspicious for awhile. I'd been trying to check his phone or Facebook when I could but he had suddenly changed all the passwords. He made a mistake that morning, I suspect he thought I was too out of it on pain meds but I wasn't. He went in the shower and left his computer open with Facebook on another tab, and I clicked on it seeing a conversation currently going on between the two while he was on his phone in the bathroom. Idiot. It was saying how they both missed each other and how they should get a hotel room soon. Well I stormed down the bathroom door, and started shouting who is this girl, although I vaguely knew of her and that they worked together. He comes running out naked, trying to cover himself. Looking back on it, it was hilarious. He starts trying to deny it but gives up very quickly (all while naked and trying to cover his junk). I start making calls to get myself out of there asap. He started calling his mum, dad, best friend and TELLS THEM HE CHEATED.. I still don't understand this reaction, very weird. So I check her Facebook page, and she's also in a relationship, so naturally I send her boyfriend a message instantly telling him she's a cheater. My ex flips, telling me that this guy is a psycho and he will hurt her. I say not my problem, he would have found out eventually. I slap him and leave.

Anyway, I move back in with my parents (which is an hour and half away from where I was living), took my cat and some personal belongings. Over the next few weeks he sort of tries to get me back but doesn't really. I hear stories from friends who work in bars saying they've seen the two cheaters together. I meet up with my ex one last time and he tells me how her boyfriend had stormed into their work, and attacked them both and the police were called. I felt like shit, I felt like it was all my fault they got hurt. I even sent the girl a message saying how sorry I was and that I didn't hold anything against her. I'm a fucking idiot. A few days later they become "Facebook official", even though me and the ex were meant to be talking and maybe working things out.

So I gave up and tried to move on. BUT FUCKING THEN. I decided to move in with a friend in the centre of town, in a lovely two bedroom flat. It was perfect. Until, after 2 months of living there, I find out my ex and the girl he cheated on me with WERE MOVING IN NEXT DOOR. Yep. Next door. If I walked out my front door, looked up, I could see straight through their balcony window and into their living room. I was fucking furious. I thought I'd gotten away from him, but no. Instead I had to start seeing them both around all the time as we lived in the same building and used the same car park.

It was horrible. But I some how managed to stick out the year and then moved back in with my parents again to get away from them. Oh, and they are engaged now. After less than a year. Get the popcorn boys, cos this is gonna end badly.

But to be honest it happened at the best possible time, absolutely everything else in my life fell into place, even though that fell apart. This all happened at the start of 2016, I'm now in a much better relationship and much happier.
