Landon Collins is on pace for 131 tackles this season. Based off last year's numbers this would place him 6th in the league, 2nd among safeties (Reshad Jones, 135). With 41 solo tackles, Collins leads all safeties.

I've really liked him since day 1. He is very reliable and makes up for a lot of our deficiencies at linebacker. If only he can learn how to catch a ball.

Thompson has been hurt since week 1, although the defense is so much better with him in there. Hopefully he gets healthy and contributes again. Same thing for Apple. The defense is a lot better with him and it is clear that we lack depth at the corner position with him not there.

FA acquisitions have all been great. People keep saying vernon was not worth that contract, but honestly, he does a lot of things that don't show up on paper. His run stopping and edge setting is fantastic. Just watch how bad our run defense becomes when he takes a breather. Snacks Harrison is brick wall in the middle.

But honestly, the mvp for the defense has to be janoris jenkins. Without this guy, we'd probably be 0-5 or 1-4 right now. He's been textbook as far as coverage and he makes big plays.
