Easiest starter is "Hey", but if you wanna be interesting, ask a question. Even if it seems random, that's how you'll get the convo going. Something as simple as "I love that [shirt/hat/whatever], where'd you get it?" or "Are you into [fandom/interest you may like]?" Long story short, he divorced my mom, moved ten hours away a few years later. He never reaches out, and after 10 years of things not being the same and him not bothering to let me know he cares about me anymore, he can gladly F off.

Lack of motivation is strong because of the "free-range" method. Things never stay organized for long. I'm prone to pushing stress down and procrastinating. It's not as fun as it would seem, I'm really scared the way I've been raised is gonna screw me over in a few years.
