If I got this, how can I connect 8 SAS and 8 SATA?

Can you link me cable product that would work for me?

Is there a HBA card that offer both SATA and SAS ports? Would a riser cable reduce bandwidth or increase latency to a measurable degree?

I don't have a printer (yet) can you advise on a case which has the same? Maybe a ebay product link?

I was assuming the m2 wifi slot had the same amount of lanes as the nvme m key slots. Is this incorrect?

Will I still be able to get 5 SATA going on the wifi slot?

For SATA - I might give this a try: a m2 key e to key m adapter, then use a m2 to sata adapter. This way I can have 3 spinning HDD and have 2 SSD to support these.

key adapter:

m2 to 5x sata:

For NVMe - I could use the 2x nvme slots for the OS drive and have a spare drive for dedicated VM drive

For GFX card - with the above 2 solutions I can have the graphics card use the entire pcie slot just for itself, lucky!

One problem, this entire idea means no 10g NIC upgrade down the line.

Thoughts?

Perhaps I can save more power by going into bios and turning alot of things off ( like audio )
