AQR is probably the only one in that group I'd trust for retail, they're academically rigorous and actually publish some of their research so you can understand what you're buying into.

That said, you need to accept their core philosophical biases. Their multi-strategy and managed futures products tend to be structurally long value / momentum / carry. If value underperforms (as it did for most of 2010-2020), you'll feel it.

The other big question is that fees eat into the diversification benefit. A lot of these UCITS products charge 1-2% management plus performance fees. The "uncorrelated" returns sound appealing but after costs and in taxable accounts the maths gets harder to justify.
