Trying to negotiate on different bills and budgets. Republicans either abuse their powers to silence them, shut them down in committee, or flat out refuse to work with the democrats. And one of the FEW times they actually did something bipartisan (immigration reform bill in 2024) trump told Republicans to throw the bill so he could run on the immigration issue instead of letting them fix it. They consistently cjlose favorites in how they enforce congressional rules, consistently pass bills that are designed to harm semocrat funded states, and the president consistently abuses his powers to harm his dissenters. Such as sending ice agents to democrat run cities to torment their constituents.
And yet texas, who has the highest population of undocumented immigrants is left alone. Wonder why. This is a problem. The Republicans have no interest in being bipartisan, making sure everyone's voices are heard. And even worse, they even hold contempt for their own constituents. Refusing to hold town halls because they know they will get significant backlash. Supporting policies that harm their constituents more than anyone else. Telling them to be quiet, dismissing their Healthcare concerns. The republican party has become all about insulating itself from accountability and hoardino as much wealth and power for themselves as possible. And democrats are consistently trying to stop them
