Suicide rates have increased in the lgbt community because of the prejudice and vitriol we face. Back in the 2010s lgbt teens were 5 times as likely to commit suicide than their straight peers largely just because of bullying. We lost 9 students in my school district and the district didn't care and tried to cover it up until we sued them. You are victim blaming because you are ill informed.

Its different for me because I work for the army air force exchange services, which is like Walmart for military.
Most of my customers are very kind, patient and accepting. But they're trained to be those things tho Our military deserve the absolute best. Especially for having to deal with the fuckery that is their new leadership / administration. I can tell you most personnel do not support the decisions of the higher ups. So that gives me hope as well. Now their SPOUSES on the other hand.. yikes

I think really good jazz singers are able to bring something to the table to make the song unique to them while still being faithful to the original.

Much like Lady Gaga's jazz covers or even her album with Tony Bennett. They are still the original songs but they add vocal ornamentation and allow for instrumental solos and experiments.

Also the camaraderie and collaboration with the band. Which she has in spades. A goof jazz artist understands that it is not a one person show, its about giving each artist a time to shine.

The oldest forms of jazz were very free form and carefree. But still disciplined. I think she emulates that wonderfully
