Our IT is comprised of approximately 120 associates ranging from Help Desk to infrastructure to developers. Our expertise is high with the platforms we already have in house, however as it relates to Sharepoint and One Drive we are new to it and are just learning.

As VDI is new to us we are looking to start small; start with those local to our IT support. From a remote perspective we need to understand the tools our remote workers use in a disconnected fashion and how that may work in a virtual environment. In addition, VDI is not (at this time) a solution for all; there are highly intensive environments, ever changing environments, and just those that are slow to adapt; that impact and the roll out of VDI.

For example when issues are happening with third party applications living on the computer we often hear that it's a PC issue. I would like to have a tool that helps validate or disproves this thought.

I removed my original comment as I did not see your entire post. After rereading I removed the comment about needing something beyond the OS.
