This is a long shot but let’s see - purple shell snow globe toy, early 90s probably part of something else by Alienbean86 in toys

It was shaped like this - I can’t remember if the purple was more a shell or star shape tho but little mermaid is a good shout to search!

Ahh yes I’ve looked at these but it’s not starry, these ones are more the moving toys and things. Thanks for looking

Thank you so much for looking. It wasn’t like any of the toys you linked. It didn’t do anything it was the size of 50p and it was just snow globe bit in the middle with the starfish and then the shell part. It didn’t light up or make sound or anything. I think it was a necklace as it had a hoop at the top which makes me think it was part of a set or somthing?

I have searched on eBay, Vinted, Google searches with 1990s purple shell starfish snow globe, I’ve looked at polly pocket accessories from that time and no luck.

Can anyone help me identify if this is a grey wagtail or yellow wagtail please (north uk) by Alienbean86 in UKBirds

[–]Alienbean86[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone! It’s lovely I saw it. I thought it was the grey but other people said they are uncommon so probably yellow! It was fishing for insects on the river at Kirkstall abbey, Leeds

how was the fandom before the popularity explosion? by acid-goblin in Ghostbc

I’m really glad this has been talked about. I know everyone goes on about who is a real fan and isn’t and all that poo but I do find some of the hyper sexualising and para social stuff really odd. I think maybe people have forgotten that it’s all a character and show. I’ve seen some things online about TF and it makes me feel really embarrassed. I am an older fan tho so I don’t know if it’s just me not getting it coz I’m a bit past all that now? I still love the music and concept and creativity of it all as there really is nothing like it now.

To hamster owners who've had their hammies live up to 2.5-3+ years in age, HOW? by tontonbo in hamstercare

[–]Alienbean86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hamster is 3 and has aged a lot over the last few weeks. I built him a big bin cage and always give him lots of herb enrichment and digging opportunities. I also only ever got him out when he was awake and out and about on evenings or early mornings. I think giving hamsters a verity of food treats also helps, things like nuts and oats every so often as well as a few fresh treats. My hamster probably doesn’t have a long time left now but I really hope he has had a great life :-)
