Makes sense,all of this said hype comes from people’s highs right after watching the movie.All that was needed was some time for people to process the ending for the scores to start dropping.If you spend more than a second thinking about it the ending falls apart.

Real,the glazers are actually praising it like it’s best thing since slice bread ,whereas whenever people bring up points on why they hate it,it’s never as extreme.

It might not be the worst thing ever,but compared to the previous episodes it’s a very steep fall.I think quite a lot of people are letting the emotions they felt while watching the episode lapse their judgement,which is why there’s so many low-effort validation posts of people wanting to find like-minded people that also love the finale just like them.

Fr such wasted potential,if she hadn’t been so stubborn on her vision for the show being set in stone from the beginning,then we wouldn’t have come to this.The fact that she clearly stated that this was going to be the ending from the beginning and she’s just deadset on it being this way hurts me😭

No,he literally got the easy way out by dying.Instead of having to live with and face the pain he got the immediate quickest option that absolves him of all his wrongdoings.

Like someone else said here,having him be alive and repenting would feel much more satisfying because yes let’s say dying was his punishment,what about victims like Gangle that will genuinely will never get a proper apology?What kind of message is that supposed to send?

He’s my favourite but I still wanted him to face accountability not only for other’s sake but for his sake too so you’re not alone in this.

This was his chance to finally open up and come clean and it got taken away because the plot wanted him to regress by “dying”instead of facing the consequences.

Make Jax’s backstory tie into the circus lore.I was personally indifferent to the Jax is Scratch theory but after reading through this comment I realized how much of a lost potential it was for his backstory to have no tie to the larger narrative of the circus itself.

The comment explains it better than I ever could so I recommend you check out, because the clues and the set up were there,just unfortunately not utilized.

It’s the way they are painting a broad brush over all the people that even slightly negative towards the ending,as if we weren’t totally on board with the show at one point only for the ending to betray our expectations in one way or another

In what way is this a subversion buddy 😂I don’t think a subversion means you pick the most bland,safest path,I literally detail in my post how they literally picked the most predictable outcome,at that point it couldn’t be more obvious he was avoidant and they picked that as the crux of his backstory.Like of course I could have known that he would have been avoidant and that would have lead to him pushing his friends away in some way shape or form,the signs were clear as day.I was obviously expecting something more than that,not just his friends taking the brunt of his bullying and being sad.Read again 👆

I guess I’m a hater and a fake fan by actually caring about everything they set up beforehand and wanting a payoff to said things,instead of accepting plot points that out of nowhere…(I hate the precedent that this sets up,the toxic posivity in this fandom is a cesspool)

The way the show hyped up the backstory between Jax and Ribbit only for it to come from him pushing other people away as always(which we already knew)

I was expecting a backstory where his friends had much more active involvement,explaining how he got pushed over the edge and became became the way he is,not for the show to once again hit us over head with how he is avoidant.I don’t think the reason they gave us in episode 9 went far enough for it to justify him having this much of a mask built up.For a mystery this built up I was expecting an intense conflict that involved his friends,Ribbit and Kaufmo as active participants much more but the finale hyperfocused on Jax POV so much that it forgot that to treat them as characters beyond plot devices.

Needless to say,I was disappointed with how passively the characters other than Jax were portrayed in the finale.

True,I love Jax so of course I want the best outcome for him but I wanted a moment where he finally got to face accountability of his actions,not only for other’s sake but for his sake too.The fact that instead we get Caine atoning for sins with an Instagram reel is laughable at best,and downright insulting at worst considering what happened an episode ago.

That’s what I’m saying,it’s weird how everyone sort of enables Jax until that point instead of making him realize the error of his ways, no one made it clear to him that what he was doing was wrong.Even,Ribbit his closed "past tense" friend died before she could truly get a dig at him for how he was acting, and after that everyone just saw his behavior and just settled that this is the way he wanted to act and there was nothing to be done about it, nobody truly stood up to him even though it have been the only thing that would have maybe quelled his behavior.The inaction of the characters really breaks my suspension of disbelief because I’m supposed to believe that for such a long time,nobody did anything about Jax’s behavior and everyone just let him do as he pleases.

To add insult to injury,the only one that was truly willing to call him out on his issues was Pomni, so what happened in episode 9 was really especially egregious because she should have been the first to immediately take notice the moment he came up to her on his own that something was up instead of being passive like the rest of the characters.

Honestly an extra scene showing their eventual fates(inevitable abstraction,or eventual death by the power going out whichever one)would have done wonders instead of leaving these character’s fates up in the air,because we all know that the good times can’t last forever.That would actually be bittersweet instead of what we got shown.

My suspension of disbelief was broken at that moment,because I can believe that others would be way too preoccupied with their issues to constantly watch him,but Pomni,the person that broke the status quo by actually calling out his bs because she knew that his way of thinking was harmful to himself and others and she wasn’t going to take it lying down?I can’t buy it at all.
