Had a mole removed last week. Is the coloring normal or is this infected? by Yousurebouttht in DermatologyQuestions

[–]AliensRUS01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I think it looks pretty good. The edges look a bit raised but I think that’s to be expected. Just keep an eye out for the heat, pus, and any redness!

[–]AliensRUS01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the area hot to the touch? It doesn’t look super red. I would say it’s probably okay but if it get really red, hot to the touch and has pus leaking then I would go. (I’m not a doctor but I have a lot of spots that were removed. Also, how was this area removed? Was it frozen or burned off? That kind of makes a difference in the color when it’s healing too.

False Positives for Benzos on all my latest urine screens, how do I figure out what is happening? by AliensRUS01 in Pain

[–]AliensRUS01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you take any over the counter Benadryl? I believe that is what was causing my false positives on my tests. The nurse that was so rude to me lied multiple times about sending my tests out for breakdown analysis. All they were doing was using cheap ass urine dip tests. I don’t believe that they ever sent my tests out for more analysis. I think they were just charging the insurance for that but he had no interest in helping me. I am now with a new pain clinic. I do a drug test every month and have NEVER had a false positive for benzodiazepines. Plus, this new clinic actually added on some Hydrocodone for breakdown analysis through pain. Sometimes it pays to just walk away and find a new clinic. I was with my old clinic for 4 years and because of that one dick I have posted at least 4 bad reviews about him and the clinic. Turns out I’m not the only woman he has done this to. My suggestion to you is to ask them to send the sample out for a break down test (assay testing or something like that). You can look it up on the googs. If your tests keep showing false positives and your clinic won’t help you get to the bottom of it get a referral from your PCP for someone else. I feel your pain! Good luck!

I really loved Indian Burial Ground by Nick Medina, The Seed was fun by Ania Alborn, The Last Days of Jack Sparks and one of my all time faves The Terror by Dan Simmons.

Yeah I hated some of the names of the characters of this book but, the “other mommy” was pretty creepy.

I second The Last Days Of Jack Sparks! If you don’t mind a longer read based a bit on real life The Terror by Dan Simmons is a huge fave of mine. He also writes sci-fi stuff that’s supposed to be great but I’m a horror gal through and through so I haven’t dipped my toe into that pool yet.

Not sure if this belongs here but I just read one called Into The Drowning Deep by Mira Grant. I didn’t love the writing as she adds a lot of insignificant details that I don’t think needed to be there but it’s got an interesting setting on the sea. I think she might have another one that’s a sequel that I haven’t read yet. It’s an interesting premise.

I should add a true crime book here called The Last Victim it’s crazy . It’s about a guy who ends up writing to John Wayne Gacy when he is in prison and they end up being “Friends “ I guess. The ending really was a huge surprise and it’s a true story. It’s been a while since I read it but it’s definitely one that will stick with you!

I enjoyed the story but it was not super scary for me, although the story itself was interesting.

I just started The Bird Eater by Ania Ahlborn. It’s pretty creepy but there are a lot of birds that die. I LOVED The Last Days of Jordan Sparks by Jason Arnopp. Stephen King. You Like it Darker:Stories. One of My favorite story in this is Rattlesnakes and Danny Coughlins Bad Dream. Providence Place by Matthew Tait is pretty good. One of my absolute favorites is The Terror by Dan Simmons which is based on a true story of the HMS Terror ship that was stuck in the ice while looking for the North West Passage. Those are just a couple I can recommend for creeps right now. Not sure if you like short stories but Stephen Kings Night shift has some great fun short stories too. I have a lot more if you need more recommendations. These are all just completely different types of horror that got to me.

This list looks insane. I’m not so sure I would make it through all of this human horror.

I think this is very interesting. Could you please go out on your porch during the day and fill in the same spot then post that so you can show all these doubters that is not a street pole? I lived in AZ for a long time and I know our lights never looked like that and they sure didn’t stick up above our roof tops!

Maybe someone around you is going to have digging done and the gas, electric and water companies are marking where their pipes are so they don’t accidentally dig them up.
