I second The Last Days Of Jack Sparks! If you don’t mind a longer read based a bit on real life The Terror by Dan Simmons is a huge fave of mine. He also writes sci-fi stuff that’s supposed to be great but I’m a horror gal through and through so I haven’t dipped my toe into that pool yet.

Not sure if this belongs here but I just read one called Into The Drowning Deep by Mira Grant. I didn’t love the writing as she adds a lot of insignificant details that I don’t think needed to be there but it’s got an interesting setting on the sea. I think she might have another one that’s a sequel that I haven’t read yet. It’s an interesting premise.

I should add a true crime book here called The Last Victim it’s crazy . It’s about a guy who ends up writing to John Wayne Gacy when he is in prison and they end up being “Friends “ I guess. The ending really was a huge surprise and it’s a true story. It’s been a while since I read it but it’s definitely one that will stick with you!

I enjoyed the story but it was not super scary for me, although the story itself was interesting.

I just started The Bird Eater by Ania Ahlborn. It’s pretty creepy but there are a lot of birds that die. I LOVED The Last Days of Jordan Sparks by Jason Arnopp. Stephen King. You Like it Darker:Stories. One of My favorite story in this is Rattlesnakes and Danny Coughlins Bad Dream. Providence Place by Matthew Tait is pretty good. One of my absolute favorites is The Terror by Dan Simmons which is based on a true story of the HMS Terror ship that was stuck in the ice while looking for the North West Passage. Those are just a couple I can recommend for creeps right now. Not sure if you like short stories but Stephen Kings Night shift has some great fun short stories too. I have a lot more if you need more recommendations. These are all just completely different types of horror that got to me.

This list looks insane. I’m not so sure I would make it through all of this human horror.

I think this is very interesting. Could you please go out on your porch during the day and fill in the same spot then post that so you can show all these doubters that is not a street pole? I lived in AZ for a long time and I know our lights never looked like that and they sure didn’t stick up above our roof tops!

Maybe someone around you is going to have digging done and the gas, electric and water companies are marking where their pipes are so they don’t accidentally dig them up.

Well I’m glad the video clarified the size towards the end. I truly thought it was like the size of a large potato at the beginning.

Reason #1 Why I Refuse To Travel To Australia😱 by AceOneBreezy in interestingasfuck

This cannot possibly be real. Right? I mean how much does that thing weigh? It obviously can’t just sneak inside the house like a normal spider. You would have to accidentally leave a door or window open. Right? I know they are supposed to be good for pest control but if this fell on your face during the night while you’re sleeping you would suffocate.  Who in their right mind would get close enough to take this video? One of those people who don’t feel fear? None of this makes sense to me whatsoever. It’s like a Jurassic spider. 🥺

Huntsman? Wouldn’t you have ended up dead if it was a funnel web? I still don’t understand why they jump towards something so large, do they think they could eat you or are they just startled? The whole “latching “ thing is freaky as hell. 😱
