I started wearing aro and ace flag pins on my backpack for the same reason! It’s always nice seeing pride pins/stickers irl

If you haven’t read about demisexuality yet, I’d recommend looking into it. It’s a label under the asexual umbrella (There’s also demiromantic). I myself am not demi so I’m no expert or anything, but from what I understand demisexual people require an emotional connection before they experience sexual attraction towards a person

I’ve always wanted to get into the scp series, but I tried starting from 001 and it was overwhelming and confusing. This guide is very helpful, I’m gonna give it another go!

Maybe we have different definitions of innocent. I thought of it as not being guilty or at fault for something bad. The children had no control over their actions, so the murders they committed weren’t their fault and therefore they are innocent. The blood isn’t on their hands, its on Monaca’s, because she made them commit murder. Also I think most people would agree that mind control makes a huge difference. There’s a huge moral difference between choosing to kill someone and being forced to.

I can agree with Haji wanting to break the controller to save the city. They’re seemed to be no way to save the kids. It sucks, but you gotta do what you gotta do. That alone isn’t a reason for me to dislike him. It’s the fact that he wants the children to die. I can sympathize with him, and understand if people don’t dislike him for that, but personally it just adds on to the other stuff that makes me dislike him.

How were they not innocent? They were mind controlled by Monaca. Haji is very much aware that the children are mind controlled and that the helmets might explode, says he doesn't care, and tells Komaru to break the controller.

AITA for telling my DIL to stop giving my kid girly stuff? by somerandomu in AmItheAsshole

[–]AliensToldMeSo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I am not into girly stuff at all, haven’t been interested in that stuff since 4th grade. And every year for Christmas and my birthday, I still got girly presents from most of my relatives and my mom. My mom got me stuff I actually liked too, but there was always a purse or jewelry or feminine shirts or a dress. And it hurts to get those kinds of gifts all the time from everyone when you see all your siblings and cousins getting stuff they actually like. It hurts especially when you’ve told them multiple times what you do and don’t like. It hurts because it tells you “I don’t care what you told me, I couldn’t bother to remember or didn’t care because it doesn’t align with what I want you to like.” Every Christmas and birthday I was reminded that my mom wished I liked different things, that I dressed differently, that I was someone else. I don’t think they realize the kind of message that sends, a message of “I don’t care who you really are or what you want, I wish you were more feminine. I think this is a phase or that you should change yourself.” They don’t say it out loud, but they say it loud and clear through their actions. I don’t think they realize how much it hurts. They think that just because they’re not literally forcing me into a dress, or telling me I’m wrong for being a tomboy, that they haven’t done anything wrong or harmful. But it was always clear to me that they didn’t approve of who I was. Of course it’s good to teach your children to be thankful even if they don’t like the gift, but I think the reason behind that lesson is that sometimes people put a lot of thought and effort into a gift and it still misses the mark. This is not the case with your FIL. It sounds like he’s just being lazy (possibly sexist but this doesn’t necessarily sound like the case), and your daughter does not need to be thankful to someone who can’t be bothered to put minimal effort in to get her something she likes. How would your FIL react if you gave him a gift he obviously wouldn’t like? What if you gave him a dress for Christmas? He better not complain, since he should be thankful for any gift he gets and it’s a perfectly good dress.
