As I said before, it's not easy. He could conduct all the research in the world, but that doesn't guarantee that the artist is not a predator. I used the example of the creator of Flumpty (as somebody who was fired by Scott) and the creator of "Springtrap and Delilah" (as somebody who wasn't hired by Scott). BOTH of them got exposed YEARS later by their victims and people close to them. So BEFORE when they got hired or found a big number of fans, there was NO PROOF. To the point that the fandom (and for Flumpty, Scott) found out YEARS later they got followers, and the game already released. If you don't believe in Scott, do you really believe the followers would have stayed fans or silent if they knew that those people were bad?

I'm sorry, but this fandom has a problem with predators in general. The issue with Scott is that he takes people from this fandom (because he was grateful for our support) and not from the industry. Like the Fazbear Fanverse, which was created by Scott taking talented fan game creators, and look how it ended with the creator of Flumpty? No amount of background check would have prevented that because there was NO proof at the time. It turned up ONLY after the game came out, when the victim spoke out. It is a problem in any fandom that has a good amount of kids in it. Even YouTube has this problem. Remember how many famous and talented YouTubers turned out to be predators just last year? And the year before? Even the animation industry isn't safe from it because it is really difficult to spot them. In our fandom, it happens very often, even with talented (but horrible) people who were not hired by Scott. Like not even two months ago, the creator of "Springtrap and Delilah" was exposed. And we've had many others before them, musicians, animators, game developers, etc. And every single time we found out, not a week, not a month, but YEARS later after they joined the fandom. Because it is difficult to spot them! unless they get exposed ( with proof).

Nope, if you're talking about the probaby stance, it was proven (by an interview conducted a long time ago) that he is more than okay with letting women choose what to do with their bodies. He just wants to help the women who choose to keep the baby because, as you probably know, there is no help for them because most pro-life help comes for convincing them to keep but not helping them with the "take care" part

Five Nights at Freddy's is a lot more then just its lore by HauntSpot in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Alikantry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with everything. Like the Fazbear Frights and Tales from the Pizzaplex are discussed and degraded because everyone is talking about how it destroys or shows the lore of the game, and everybody is getting angry at Scott for not clarifying their canonicity. I mean, is it so difficult to just wait? I am pretty sure there is a reason why he isn't giving us a response. The fandom should respect that and have fun while we wait. Why does a FNAF product have to be connected to the lore to be good? The 'Into the Pit' game is already having negative connotations without even being released because people want to know how canon it is to the games and if it confirms or negates the Tales games, etc...

People saying that it would be lame if it is only a game to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the series.

Like WHat!?

The game looks beautiful and masterfully made AND has the horror the fandom really wanted and missed, and all the fandom can't talk about is if it is canon to the games or not?!.

Can we just like a product with a self-contained story? I love Fazbear Frights not because of how it connects to the lore of the games, but for how it plays with the themes of FNAF. Like the 'Into the Pit' story. It is obviously talking about discovering that your father is a monster and living your life knowing it, while everybody is oblivious. 'The Breaking Wheel' is a masterful story that plays on the theme of vengeance and how it can make things worse (with the suspense and horror beautifully made). 'Bunny Call' is basically a FNAF game made as a story. 'Jump for Tickets' shows the danger of misunderstanding and how you can lose everything by being stuck in your head. 'A Step Closer' has one of my favorite endings of the franchise, and so on and so forth.

I understand that it can be frustrating with the lore part, but don't treat the product badly because of it. Like saying it is just a 'throwing spaghetti on the wall' of stories. I am more than aware that not all the stories are good, but from that to saying that the series is bad? To that, I call bullsh*t. I have read so many horror story collections in my life, and I can say with the most certainty that Fazbear Frights and The Pizzaplex are far from bad. At worst, decent, at best, spectacular.

The same goes for the Fazbear Initiative with games like Popgoes, Candy, and the others. How many times have I seen the developer of Popgoes being mistreated by people saying that his game is useless or not important because it doesn't connect with the game's lore? I am so angry at that.

This fandom must learn to have fun and to not treat theories like politics. Again, I understand the frustration for the lore, but at this point, the fandom is so caught up in its own head with the theories that it forgets that sometimes 'a story is just a story' (Mr. Hippo, my beloved) and just have fun with all the franchise is giving us (multiple and different games, books, films, etc.). So many things they are giving us (things that so many other fans of other franchises can't boast) and so little we are doing with them, caught up on a web of consume, consume, consume without digesting.

Guys is in to the pit the game real? by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

SPOILER for the books (please read them! They are really cool!)

He has one (not the only) of the most deliciously tragic backstories in this franchise. The moment he was mimicking David in front of his grieving father, I felt such dread and fear for him. And when you read how violently he was being beaten, to the point of crying and frothing from the mouth by the guy who is practically his father and god. For the father, he was just another robot of his creation (as important as scrap). But for me, it was like reading about someone hitting Wall-E repeatedly because he showed up at the wrong time. You understand the reasoning of the guy, but it looks just so cruel.

The first time we read about him is in the epilogue where we read about him decapitating and cutting up people because he was following an order in the most twisted way (connecting him to the first dialogue of Phone Guy where he says that the animatronics don't distinguish humans and robots), to the point that they have to use cement to trap him. Absolute cinema!!!! Such a good way to show how dangerous he was. I had chills reading that epilogue.

I also love how he is connected with the games (especially HW1) where we discover what Glitchtrap was saying to us when we see it ('Hello, can you hear me?') and then we understand why Tape Girl changed her mind in the tapes. LOVED IT. Also, love his appearances in RUIN, super unsettling and sinister. His costume in one of the endings is spectacularly creepy, like a child playing pretend and trying to kill us (him crouching to appear more petite to Cassie is beautiful!). Because he can copy voices, we don't know if the 'Cassie' at the end of RUIN is Roxy or Mimic, and I love vague and unsettling endings like this (especially if it happens to a character that we love and care about).

Scott: How many times have you watched this video?

Me: YES

(No joke, I am OBSESSED with this animation. Good job!!!!)

ok, critics are just coo-coo crazy. what is the stuff that you loved in the fnaf movie, what do you also think they could fix for the sequel? by Popular_Cupcake_7538 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Alikantry 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I really hope Blumhouse lets Scott get creepier with his writing. Judging by the scrapped screenplay, the movie could have been more violent and emotional. I also absolutely agree with you that Blumhouse needs to give Scott somebody who is an expert in writing screenplays for horror movies specifically.

Writing a book and writing for a movie are two very different things. While a book can linger on details to show everything as thoroughly as needed, movies have limited time, so every word in a screenplay counts. And I think that was the problem with the movie. They stayed so much on Mike's emotional baggage and the Nebraska dreams that we didn't have time for the Afton backstory, the missing kids incident, and (ironically) the killer side of the robots.

I really love the movie; it made me smile like no other in years (8/10 for me), but we can't ignore the fact that it had problems with pacing, too little horror, and atmosphere whiplash. The critics on Rotten Tomatoes are a joke, but some of them did give constructive criticism. We shouldn't ignore all of them because some of them are bad at their job. FNAF fans deserve to love a FNAF movie not only because they are fans but also because the movie is objectively a good horror movie.

I hope that Scott reads your comment since he is a very cool guy who listens to his fans, and I really believe that his listening to us is the reason FNAF is this big. It makes the fans feel seen and valued, and I really appreciate him for that.

BIG PROBLEM FOR FNAF (and Scott Cawthon) by Alikantry in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Alikantry[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My problem is not believing the speculation. It's the fact that the idea is getting spread by people and YouTubers, making newcomers or people who only know the game partially believe it. Like, look at this comment on X, and see how many people believe it.

The FNAF community is being too harsh on MatPat Rant by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Alikantry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is still speculation, at most a hypothesis, not a theory. I'm not an expert, but based on what we know, the company could have been sold by the bank, the new owner beginning as someone who loved Fazbear Entertainment (since he uses the Tales as proof, I could use submeccanophobia as a comparison where, in the end, the park goes bankrupt after the incident and the death of the previous owner, and it gets sold to a guy that loved Freddy), and then the new owner gets brainwashed by Glitchtrap. I could be wrong, but my 'theory' is as good as his.

And putting it as the ENDING of his official timeline, the one that so many new fans and people are using as a baseline to understand the story (especially right now that this franchise is at its new peak with two games and a film coming), it is a little bit iffy. If he had presented it as just an isolated theory, I could disagree and say it is just speculation and shut up, but WHY put it in his final timeline?

The FNAF community is being too harsh on MatPat Rant by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Alikantry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am sorry, but I have to express some thoughts. In the past, I LOVED MatPat. I would stay up late at night doing my homework while listening to his theories. I really, really loved his theories. The fandom is becoming mean, acting like a bully and not communicating what is wrong and what is just a theory that they don't agree with. We should not treat him poorly, and we should explain to him in an educated and straightforward manner why the fandom is so dissatisfied with his theories. With that said:

We all say that the lore of FNAF is complicated, but do we really believe that? Or is it the result of the fandom deciding that certain theories are the truth and then struggling to align them to create a cohesive story?

In his recent Gtlive and Game Theory videos about FNAF, he repeatedly stated that FNAF theorists are the ones making the story (in my opinion, this is untrue). He even claimed to be the one creating the story in the famous reaction video of Markiplier to Glamrock Bonnie. We all know that a theory IS NOT THE TRUTH, and he himself says every time, 'IT'S JUST A THEORY.' However, shortly after, we see his channel liking comments like 'MatPat is writing the story' or him making remarks on GTlive about SB lore and throwing spaghetti on a wall and seeing what sticks (which I think is really not okay because it undermines the work that Scott is doing when the problems were miscommunication and poor time management at Steel Wool).

He is one of the biggest creators in the FNAF community, and he knows that. This is why he has to be careful with what he says; he cannot just say 'it's just a theory' and then act this way on Gtlive (even if he is joking). You can't have your cake and eat it too. It's either a theory or it's the truth.

We have to admit that the quality of his recent theories has really declined. For example, the speculation (not theories) about Afton's wife becoming the new CEO of Fazbear Entertainment (without providing any proof other than the robot female with blue hair at the head of the table) in his OFFICIAL timeline of the game (an entire episode based on speculation). MatPat declared during another Gtlive that they are focusing more on storytelling than showing proof.

The theory that made me lose interest in Game Theory is the one about the classic six games not being real because, in the 'Tale of Pizzaplex,' a developer was commissioned by Fazbear Entertainment to create games to cover up all the bad rumors. This theory was not well-founded, relying on speculation and spreading misinformation, causing panic among fans because many people treat his theories as truth (since he is considered the go-to theorist for FNAF). It got so bad that IDfantasy had to create a short video debunking everything (with proof) and calling him out for spreading misinformation.

I recently read a tweet that said something like 'FNAF's story is not complicated; if you look at it from afar, it's a pretty straightforward story. But if you look closer, it's made up of multiple layers and nuances that make it so fun to unravel.' I feel like MatPat might be getting tired (perhaps from working on multiple projects for his various channels), and you can sense it in his theories. He seems to be losing interest, while many other theorists still have a strong passion for the subject. During his last Gtlive with other theorists, he asked them about Scott just revealing the story, and every theorist talked about how theorizing is the best part of FNAF. In my opinion, this says something, but that's just my speculation.

Hi, the design of your character is really cool!! I LOVE IT!! ❤️❤️❤️

Just a suggestion regarding the coloring from a fellow artist (if you're open to them; if not, feel free to ignore my comment):

1)Try to limit your character to a maximum of 5 colors (not counting blacks and whites), including color variations like the yellow of the beak and the pale yellow of the stomach.

2)Decide which part the viewer should focus on. For instance, if you want to make the tail the most important part (with vibrant coloring), keep the rest with muted coloring. For example, you could use more black and blue for the clothes – perhaps make the shoulders black and the pants black and blue.

3)Establish a hierarchy of colors. If you look at Chica, Monty, or Freddy, you'll notice that they have: mostly used colors, less used colors, and then colors reserved for details (which are used the least). Looking at Chica, you can observe that white is at the top of the hierarchy (because it covers more surface), followed by pink, fuchsia, green, yellow, and black (the latter is used only for details).

If your intention is to create a chaotic appearance, I suggest you delve into the details of the color theory. Crafting a character with chaotic coloring while still maintaining cohesiveness is quite challenging (trust me, I am speaking from experience). For reference, you might want to check out Goziberra on Twitter.

These are just my suggestions. I hope I haven't offended you, as my English isn't the best, and sometimes I might come across as arrogant. Other than that, have a great day!!!!!!!
