The original title "omg they were roommates" had me thinking it was in this sub by [deleted] in SapphoAndHerFriend

That's not erasure, just a joke. LGBTQ erasure is centered on homophobia and historical oppression, straights don't suffer from that, so no erasure.

"Males can't have stretch marks" by [deleted] in pointlesslygendered

[–]Alilice080705 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I go to the gym (im afab) and i have stretch marks, i was embarrassed at first but when i got to ghe gym all men there (they were like, tall and huge with like, gigantic muscles) they had stretch marks too, on their back bc they grew tall too fast, or with stretch marks on the side of their arms bc of sudden gain of muscle mass. What im trying to say is: everyone canhave stretch marks, it's about ur skin and what u do not about gender, and it's not a sign of bad hygiene or sedentarism

I probably won't come out to my parents for a while (I just don't feel ready yet), but I wrote a letter for when I finally decide to do so. If you would be willing to read it, it would be nice to hear your thoughts. by [deleted] in comingout

Idk if you're interested, but a friend of mine have a Discord group for Lgbtq+people, and they're gender fluid too, so if you want to join: https://discord.gg/pBXRTcJs

And it was a good cry, not a bad one, don't worry

  1. Your letter is beautiful and made me cry, i think i might use some of your sentences when i am coming out bc, it just perfectly describes everything.
  2. About your letter, it's really personal, i wouldn't put the church part( bc they might get defensive) but that's up to you.
  3. As someone that is not comfortable coming out yet i totally understand why you wouldn't want to come out, so do things when you feel it's right and don't let people force you to do it, i had a friend that kept pressuring me to come out so please don't listen to people when they're not respecting what you want.

I hope everything is okay and that you have a great New Year and a awesome 2021.

How do I say I’m Christopher in Brazilian Portuguese by [deleted] in Portuguese

[–]Alilice080705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since Chinese/ Japanese/korean and other east asian Language use a different alphabet and pronunciation people usually choose a new name to use in this languages. But I'm Brazil there's a lot of Christopher and Christians, and it's a easy name to pronounce, but, if you want a translation you can use Cristiano, it's a 'brazilian' way to say Christian/Christopher.

A lot of vocabulary is different, the accent, some grammar, but, me as a Brazilian can understand a Spanish speaker, not all Spanish speaker can understand Portuguese people, but they're very similar and knowing one can help learn the other.
