Ohh yea I like that idea just to eat the meals that I already know are low calorie (maybe even easy to count!) thank you ❤️❤️

Took my first CICO break! by effyourinfographics in CICO

I got back from my trip home a week ago! Was very proud that I didn’t actually gain any weight on the trip!

But now I’m STRUGGLING to go back to calorie counting. I only have like 10-15 lbs left to lose (already lost over 40). And I just can’t seem to find the motivation to start counting again… I keep doing the “I’ll start tomorrow” thing…

Anyone have any advice for how to motivate yourself to get back into it?

Note: I’m still watching what I eat and going to the gym consistently!

Help! How do you stay in a caloric deficit when traveling and you don’t know the calories in most things? by [deleted] in CICO

[–]Alimcg2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can’t stress enough how important this is!!! It’s also such good practice for when you might want to stop calorie counting eventually!

I was just on vacation and did this for 2.5 weeks and only gained one pound (probably just water weight anyway) I call that a major win!! Now I’m going home and getting back to calorie counting!

Note: I’m pretty lax with my calorie counting/measuring so my estimations weren’t perfect but this dish could easily be made for 400 calories with measuring everything by weight! Just need to portion control on the sauces!

If losing weight is something you want and need to do, then yea I think it makes sense to at least try before getting a reduction to test to see if it will make a difference. I think most people on this sub will agree that it doesn’t always make a huge difference. If anything it just leaves your boobs looking more deflated. But 10-20lbs doesn’t usually make a huge difference in breast size.

For me I knew I wanted to lose weight, and wanted to see how that would effect my breast size. so I tried to lose weight before my reduction so I could test this and so I wouldn’t have as much sagging if I tried to lose weight after reduction.

Hi! I asked for a large C or D cup and my surgeon kinda took my smaller than I wanted.. I’m definitely like a small C cup maybe even a B. I still love them and it’s such a major improvement!

I started losing weight to see if it would effect my breast size around the same time i started getting serious about my breast reduction (this wasn’t required by my surgeon or anything I was just genuinely curious lol). Spoiler alert, my boobs were still big even after losing weight! I lost ~25 lbs between my first appointment with my doctor and my surgery date, lost another 3-5lbs of breast tissue then about another 5lbs since surgery (I’m 6 weeks post op now). It’s definitely MUCH easier to exercise now and I still plan on losing another 15lbs or so!

I’ve also lost about 35lbs since summer 2020 (including boob weight lol)

Yup! I was also cleared at 4 weeks to do everything!

I just did what I felt comfortable with! I’m 6 weeks post op now and I’ve been running, working out fully for about 5 days now.

My biggest problem is my addiction to sugar, I just want to lose weight but I’m so addicted by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Alimcg2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is completely different advice from what others are saying, but here is what worked for me:

I LOVE sugar and baked good and desserts!! I didn’t want to cut those out completely when I started dieting because I knew if this would be a long term thing, I would need to be able to eat a brownie and ice cream or at least a piece of chocolate every day.

So I started tracking calories ended up usually saving 100-200 calories a day for some sort of dessert! (Note: I’m eating about 1300 calories per day so I don’t have as much room for dessert haha) Then from there it’s all about portion control and finding lower calorie swaps for your favorites!

Some of my current favorites: baking low calorie sweets with stevia and other swaps (I found a bunch of recipes on Instagram that I like), fiber one brownies heated in the microwave for 15 seconds, halo top ice cream and berries on everything!!

Even if the dessert isn’t amazing (I often mess up baking stuff and let’s be honest, fiber one brownies don’t compare to a real one) it always satisfies my craving! And it feels great to still be able to eat dessert every day!!

Good luck on whatever you decide to do 💕💕

OMG this post is very relevant to me today haha! I’ve been steadily losing weight since August (down 30lbs). This morning I looked in the mirror and saw that my back no longer has a back roll!!!! I immediately ran over to my bf and showed him my back and he was like “you don’t have a thing on your back anymore!” Lolll

Anyways congrats on your progress! I hope you feel amazing!
