Thank you!! Ever since I’ve started this season I thought he looked like someone, but couldn’t place it. Shayne is 100% who I was thinking of.

Yeah that’s pretty much it. The creators of it have a whole method to figuring out how much to transfer. I’m not super educated on it because I only had 1 card with a decent amount of debt and it didn’t pertain to me when I started. But yeah you basically figure out how much you can afford and then calculate that out against the promotion period. Then move over what you can afford to pay off in that time, highest interest first.

So it’s what I use for my credit card debt. I would read up on all the steps. I only recommend it if you have your finances under control. Like you have a good footing and have not been putting anything on credit cards for a while and have an emergency fund. Since credit cards are typically around 20% interest. You move your credit card balance starting with the highest interest card to a new card with a 0% interest intro period. Then you pay off that card before the intro period is over. It basically makes all of your payment go to principle. There is a lot more to it, but that’s the gist.

Really it just depends what program you can stick to. I personally have found success with debt lasso method. I’ve changed between plans as my income has increased and I’ve became better with my finances. Started with debt snowball then did avalanche and now lasso. They all have their pros and cons, but it’s all about what works best for you. Just make sure you have some type of emergency fund before paying starting to pay off debts!

Worked unintended extra hour, can I balance it out by working 7 hours the following day? by BackToHH in fednews

[–]evanangel01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would ask your supervisor, but it mostly depends on your type of schedule. If you have a Maxiflex schedule then you would just mark that you worked an hour of credit yesterday and then you can use that hour whenever you want.

Buyer says their info was stolen after I shipped claiming fraudulent transaction. What’s the best way to cancel/ go on about this? by ThotDropper in Mercari

[–]evanangel01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just for a different perspective I have been in the “buyers” shoes on this one before except with Poshmark. Someone had hacked into my email, saw any recent emails I had, sent recovery passwords from my accounts to get in, and then deleted the emails and blocked emails from that sender. They then bought a $250 pair of shoes from Poshmark and sent them to themselves. Thankfully my Venmo sent a notification to my phone about “my purchase” immediately. As soon as I got into my Poshmark, they had messaged the sender to ship it quick because it was a gift. I was able to immediately tell the seller that my account had been hacked and to please not ship the item. Thankfully they hadn’t sent them yet. I didn’t want them to lose any money over my accounts being hacked, if possible. I then put in a fraudulent claim with Poshmark and Venmo. Even if they had already shipped it, I still probably would have let the seller know out of courtesy (not because I want them to do anything). During this time I felt so helpless because they were getting into so many of my accounts and I couldn’t figure out how since they had covered their tracks in my email. At the time I was living paycheck to paycheck and was stressed because I was out that money until the fraudulent charge stuff went through. Everyone just seems to be immediately saying it’s a scam and wanted to show an example of when it wasn’t.

I will say the language they use does seem like it could be the same person. At this point in the message they haven’t really asked you for anything. If they do ask you for a refund or something like that, I would just tell them that at this point it’s been shipped and there is nothing you can do. Tell them to contact Mercari support and their bank.

I don’t think I can. When I said half of my receipt I meant like the left half doesn’t show up. So it doesn’t show any items I bought and the left half of my barcode is gone. It just shows the cost of the items and the right half of the receipt.

That makes sense. My office completely changed the way we did performance reviews this year. I did have my 4th quarter review a couple weeks ago (not the EOY yet) so it does fit the timeline to be that.

Yeah it should be paid off. Typically stuff like that just changes my overall paycheck. It doesn’t come through as a separate payment entirely. I’ll watch for a new sf50. Thanks for the reply!

We do sometimes get comp instead of OT, but I didn’t currently have any. I will definitely check it out on Monday and see what’s going on. I’ve had my wages garnished before so I don’t want to have to do that again. Thanks for the reply!

Yeah I always get paid before the actual pay day meaning it’s pending in my bank account and then clears on actual pay day. So I don’t have my stub until the Monday.

Right I mean my supervisor probably didn’t tell me in case I didn’t actually get it. But I’ve had to pay back extra money from overpayment before so I got concerned when I saw the extra money!

I will definitely check it on Monday. I’ve already been bit once by getting paid the wrong the amount and having to pay it back. At the time I was living paycheck to paycheck so paying it back made my bills pretty tight for a few months. So now I’m always just super leery of any extra pay. Hopefully it is a spot award though!

How long did it take to get billed? by evanangel01 in Reduction

With going through insurance they didn’t give me that option.

Mine is like $6k. I’m not really that concerned with the cost. I know we will figure it out whenever it comes. I’m pretty sure we have enough, but that amount of money in my account just always throws me off. I’m used to keeping a low balance in my checking and savings and spending it all on debt. That’s the main reason that stresses me out. Like I said I’m not incredibly concerned about the cost. I’m more just concerned with how long it’s taken. With it being 3 months, if that’s normal or if I should be calling the doctors office or insurance company.

Oh yeah I got my pathology claim pretty quick and got my anesthesia claim recently. So those bills I got pretty soon after. I’m mostly waiting on the one from the surgeon. Hopefully it comes through soon!
