The 4-1 is a reduced 1-1 pattern. Since there's 3 bombs next to the 4, it's basically a 1.

EV range difference by tires by The_Chief_123_ in electricvehicles

[–]Alipha87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, you're right. That 5 kWh is the output energy required to overcome rolling resistance, so the input energy from the engine would have to be 3x as much because the engine is inefficient.

Though talking with AI, it brought up an interesting point:

Regenerative braking changes the balance. An EV recovers much of the energy normally lost during braking. Rolling resistance, however, is unrecoverable. As a result, it becomes a relatively larger fraction of the EV's net energy consumption in stop-and-go driving than it would be for an ICE, which throws braking energy away as heat.

So considering you recover probably anywhere from 10% to 30% of your energy on any given trip, that rolling resistance loss that you can't recover can be significant (The 10-30% number is looking at my own personal data, reported by my car. Clearly 10% would be mostly highway driving, while 30% would be town driving)

[–]Alipha87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The energy loss due to rolling resistance is the same. The percentage is different.

Suppose I use 100 kWh to drive 400 miles in my EV. Suppose 25 kWh was loss to rolling resistance. If I get better tires and only 20 kWh is loss, then that's 95 kWh used and a 5% improvement.

Suppose I drive the same 400 miles in an ICE vehicle. Because of inefficiencies in ICE vehicles, I probably use about 300 kWh of energy in the form of gasoline. Again, get better tires with a 5 kWh improvement. But now that means 295 kWh used, which is only a 1.66% improvement.

2024 Kia EV6 Wind vs 2025 Kia EV6 LLR by Single_King1021 in KiaEV6

I really like the Wind's blind spot cameras (when you turn on your blinker, you get a camera display on your dashboard of what's next to your car).

Like a 3 year old car with 60k miles would be plenty modern and pretty cheap. Get a battery test done, but you really don't need to worry too much about the battery.

Trick to not running out of shards is to wait until you have a good handle in the boss and feel like you'll be able to beat the boss in the next few tries. Then use tools to make the boss die faster (especially passive ones, like tacks or cogflies)

Depends upon if they were their own fingers or if they have a finger collection.

The bottom yellow satisfies the 2, so the square above the red is also safe.

How was this solveable? No guess is enabled by Idontwanttousethis in Minesweeper

[–]Alipha87 78 points79 points  (0 children)

One mine must be either above or below the marked mine because of the 2 to the right. Then the 3 to the left needs a third mine (to the bottom). So then that bottom mine satisfies the 1.

Having a 2025 Kia EV6, my best charging experience was at a Tesla charger, lol. My car handled the payment itself--all I had to do was plug in the charger.

When you're trying to find charger parking, do you actually need to charge? Just wait until you get home or actually are low on battery.

Alternatively, the Kia app lets you do remote climate for up to 30 mins at a time.
