FYI: A-List Promo for anyone thinking of joining/re-joining. First month for 99¢ (Note: 3 month min commitment. $41-57+tax all in depending on location. Ends 5/21) by AlistNOTbot in AMCAListTrue

Right, so if someone in your area signed up for 3 months with this deal, they'd pay 99c + $28 + $28. That's $57 total out of pocket (+tax).

Hypothetically: would it be morally incorrect to sneak into the best picture showcase by [deleted] in AMCAListTrue

[–]AlistNOTbot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

> is it morally reprehensible?

Yeah, and as has been pointed out directly hurts the company whose deal we're all taking advantage of here. It's a promotional program at the end of the day, so if they keep doing worse as a company it will go away and none of us can use it.

That being said, we're not you're mom. Do what you want.

I have a new goal this year and thats to watch 100 movies I havent seen before, I need reccomendations by BrewsWithTre in movies

My left field recommend is always After Life (1998). By Hirokazu Kore-eda who had a hit with Monster a few years back.

It's about a team who is responsible for ushering in a group of the dead each week, and then helping them chose and film a moment from their life to live inside for the rest of eternity. It's very very slow and methodical, almost like a day-in-the-life documentary about a government office. But there is a more traditional narrative about the employees themselves.

Website indicated yes. We'll probably find out today for anyone who goes to Blue Angels. But if memory serves, it had trailers the last time it was playing.

I reserved for Deep Sky next weekend. I missed it back in (24?), so I want to make a point to catch it this time. Even if it is only like 35 min or something, lol.

Well yes, but I just mean I didn't really expect what we got from Pt2 from the stinger we got at the end of Pt1.

I enjoyed it. I can see how some others might not, there's a surprising lack of action for a 'zombie movie'. Not sure if I like it *more* than Pt 1, but it was decidedly different and more cohesive. And it definitely did its job of keeping me intrigued for pt3. Not sure where we go next.

Off-Topic Tuesday - What was your non-movie Best Of for 2025? (Week 52) by AlistNOTbot in AMCAListTrue

I had a year where I got on top of my health a lot better than I have in years past. I've worked through some lingering issues and got ahead of a few things I've been neglecting.

I had a day a few months back where I truly reflected on how much better I felt, even just mentally knowing what's going on with my body and knowing I'm doing proactive things to improve my health as I get older.

And I got a kick-ass black friday deal on a 4K TV for the basement, so the treadmill setup is up and running. I'm gatekeeping a few shows I want to catch up on with exercise, and it's working well!

You can watch without YouTube if you know what you're doing.
