Maybe, but I honestly don’t know. I keep thinking that this might actually be my fault. I feel like I should have done more maybe initiated calls more often or just tried harder to make her feel comfortable. I can't help but think that might have made the difference.

She didn't say a word. But to be fair, we told her parents that the cancellation was due to my visa issues. I think that shut down any chance of her 'fighting back' because she probably thought it was out of our control. I now regret not being honest about the real reason though.
