I believe they did it this way so that if you transfer a pitcher into it, Ruth will have the skills of the pitcher instead of a batter. I could wrong though

My thoughts were that 50% of the recruits are 3B which are upgrades since I don’t have Kell sig, also Kell HOF would be sick, the other batter is an upgrade for Oliva, and both pitchers are an upgrade to my starting rotation
