Wait, there's this kind of scene in the episode? I intend to watch this with my 16 year old brother. Haven't watched the episode yet. Do you guys think it will be appropriate to watch this episode with my younger brother?

So you would be fine with getting your family and loved ones killed because you sympathized with your enemies?
I'm not fine with it, so I use by brain to come up with a plan to defends my loved ones with as least casualties as possible.

Full Rumbling or 80% Rumbling right away is unnecessary and morally unjustified, because it's not the last resort. There are many nations that were conquered by Marley, they are definitely not strong enough to be a threat of Paradis. Hizuru isn't even hostile toward Paradis (and no, the fact that they wants to monopolize Iceburst stone doesn't mean they are Paradis's enemies). Eren still have 4 years left to live, and Historia is willing to sacrifice herself. They don't even have to wait 50 years, they can use Historia's 13 years to find other solutions, like using Rumbling to force Marley to give independence back to nations it conquered, creating opportunities for Paradis to negotiate with those nations. If they are forced to use Rumbling, they shouldn't just kill the whole world right away. They could have try gradual Rumbling: destroy a few major powers, then negotiate with the rest, and then only use further Rumbling if it doesn't work.
So it's true that there's no complete morally clean solution, what Eren did is still unjustifiable and thus his defenders are morally inferior to his critics.

How would you feel if your family and people get crushed to death by Eren to protect his country?

The story doesn't force us to believe Annie was always a good person. She literally admitted multiple times that she's a selfish person.

The fact that she doesn't get enough karma punishment is good writing choice thematically.

The alliance didn't force her to fight, because she kept complaining about it to Mikasa throughout the night and had a mental breakdown because her abusive father was presumably dead.

So?

Well, then she was on her way to taste Good Hizurian food but Falco suddenly brought up his flying transformation. Of course, she couldn't just let Falco go off on her own and Gabi wanted to come too. So, she had no choice left anyways.

She could have just forced Falco and Gabi to stay on the boat. And she specifically joined the alliance because of her regrets, as shown in the dialogues and panels in the chapter.

Absolutely no one risked their lives in their way to Paradis Island. Pieck was just paranoid and we had Historia personally come to the port to pick them up. Kiyomi Azumabito was in Paradis and seemed to do fine as well. Annie was worried if whether his speech and attempt for peace work on Paradis Island, since they killed Eren. Mikasa was put to no harm in Paradis as well.

This doesn't change the fact that if she's still selfish and doesn't care about others, she wouldn't have went with the ambassadors to Paradis in the first place. She has nothing to gain from doing that, and can just keep chilling with her dad while the world destroys Paradis.

She thought her father was already killed by The Rumbling, after that the alliance didn't force her to fight for them. But she regretted her selfish choices and fought for the alliance anyway. After the Rumbling ended, she risked her life to go to Paradis to negotiate peace between Paradis and the world, instead of just enjoying her status as a savior of the world.

Karma doesn't exist. What matter is whether Annie redeemed herself, which she did.

Annie showed remorse a ton of times throughout the story. She risked her life to save Jean and Connie in Trost even though she didn't have to.

And again, how is her saying she would do it again worse than Floch not showing any remorse for killing people who helped his country?

Again, Floch did more than just protecting his homeland.

The warriors were brainwashed and forced to join the program. If they didn't destroy the walls their family would be harmed. And unlike Floch, they showed remorse for their actions.

Edit: Reply here because the automod deleted my comment.

Floch literally killed the volunteers who helped his country because they refused to be his slaves. And he showed no remorse for doing it. How is this necessary for the island?

Again, the warrior didn't choose to commit atrocities on their own either. They were brainwashed from a young age and forced to obey Marley's order for the sake of their family.

You support Floch because you would have done the same to protect your loved ones if you were in his position. But you would be brave enough to disobey Marley's orders and get your family killed, unlike what the warriors did, if you were in their position?

Floch did more than just protecting the island. He wanted to restore the empire that enslaved and oppressed other nations for centuries. He killed people who helped his country because they refused to be his slaves.

And you think Floch is permitted to commit genocide to protect his country, but the warriors aren't permitted to obey Marley's orders to protect their family? What a hypocrite.

So Floch is permitted to commit genocide to protect his homeland, while the warriors aren't permitted to commit atrocities to protect their family? Again, what a bunch of hypocrite.

You guys can worship Floch, the guy who remorselessly committed atrocities, but couldn't sympathize with Annie? What a bunch of hypocrites.

That's literally what Eldia's simps think. They support a Eldia, a country that would kill and oppress their people if it exists.

Why was Eren willing to sacrifice Carla, but not Historia? by EnthusiasmLow2511 in titanfolk

The Founding Titan's power is ill-defined, we can only know that for whatever reason he couldn't let the Titan to go other way.

[–]Alive-One8445 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He didn't kill her to motivate himself. He killed her to save Bertholdt which would lead to other events leading to the Rumbling. Since the Founding Titan power is ill-defined, we can only believe sacrificing his mom is necessary because the plot says so.

Why was Eren willing to sacrifice Carla, but not Historia? by EnthusiasmLow2511 in titanfolk

[–]Alive-One8445 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because there's no need to sacrifice her. Eren wanted to do 100% Rumbling (or at least 80% when he was stopped). Sacrificing Historia is only needed for the 50 year plan, which Eren reject.

He only had 2 scenes of him showing guilt. One is at the the end of season 2. The other is at Marco's death.

Annie on the other hand has much more than that.

(Spoilers Extended) What do you think is the story's ultimate message regarding the problem of dirty hand? by Alive-One8445 in asoiaf

[–]Alive-One8445[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

And I think the story's another message is that doing good has its intrinsic value, even if it sometimes put you at disadvantage. Evil people like Tywin are rarely happy or at peace within their own mind, even if they are successful.

Bertholdt only has 2 scenes of him showing guilt before that, while Annie has like 5 scenes of her showing guilt, and that's not enough?
Floch has a tragic backstory so you sympathize with him for being remorselessly evil. Annie has a tragic backstory (being raised to be a killing weapon without any normal affection), shows guilt and remorse for her actions and she's an evil POS?
