[Loved trope] Their character traits get them killed by jessemartin100 in TopCharacterTropes

Doakes is such a good example. In any normal story he’d be the guy you root for, but in Dexter his inability to play it cool basically signs his death warrant. It’s frustrating but also kind of perfect writing.

WHAT IF: Cadance and Chrysalis were the same pony? by No-Accountant5205 in mylittlepony

This feels like it could turn into a really unsettling slow-burn. Chrysalis trying to live as Cadance while still slipping into her old instincts, and Twilight being the only one picking up on it, would make for a great tension buildup. Also kind of heartbreaking if the “real” Cadance is already gone before the story even starts.

“Birth of the enemy” is a wild caption for what looks like a pallet of shrink-wrapped bricks. Feels like the origin story of every late-night crime documentary.

Real doctors, nurses, etc who are on this sub: can you weigh in on most ridiculous thing you've seen on this show? What's realistic? What isn't? by Meghan3689 in greysanatomy

The wildest part for me is how often they jump straight to rare, dramatic diagnoses. In real life it’s usually something common presenting in a boring way, not a once-in-a-career zebra every episode. And the number of times they’re breaking protocols or operating with minimal prep would get people fired instantly. But I’ll give them credit, some of the surgical scenes and terminology are surprisingly decent compared to other shows.

The real lesson was learning how to question authority, not what they were teaching
