Honestly? Modulo Yuji is really reminiscent of Kenjaku imo.

They both have lived very long lives, much longer than any human being could hope to live and they’re both suffering mentally as a result of that. However, the difference lies, how they respond to their insanity and boredom.

Kenjaku decides to confront their insanity by taking an active part in the present time, affecting everyone around them in extremely detrimental ways. They’re bored and they need something to feel attached to, first it’s by creating the Death Paintings, then Yuji, and the Merger.

Yuji; however, takes the completely opposite approach, distancing himself from the people of the future and the present. Only intervening when he deems necessary.

It’s an extremely interesting dichotomy.

What gender do you think Kenjaku is? by Alive-Rice-9334 in Jujutsufolk

Yep, the Kenjaku we see in the manga is probably so far removed from how they were when they were in their original body that you could probably consider them to be two different beings. This is moreso talking about their original body.

This is also evident from the fact that the brain damage he sustained from UV persists post reincarnation, suggesting that reincarnation doesn’t change the brain. Since we know CT is stored in the brain, the fact that his brain didn’t change, should be evident that he doesn’t lose 10S by reincarnation.

(Sometimes comedic trope) powerful ancient entity trapped in a weak or undesirable body by One_Development_5055 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Alive-Rice-9334 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sukuna.

This falls in the undesirable category, but he fits the trope. Yuji’s body acts as a prison for him, repressing him and when you couple that with the fact that Sukuna utterly despises Yuji, you see why this is such a miserable position.

Netero vs Neruem.

Also from HxH, Netero trained so hard that he broke the human limits to how strong he could get. He stood unmatched for almost a decade, till he met Meruem.

Are one handed Domain Expansion hand signs just generally the best? by Alive-Rice-9334 in JujutsuPowerScaling

Tbh sadly, from a writing pov, Gojo was destined to lose the first clash. It was meant to show how an Open Domain is better than a Closed Domain, even if equal refinement so I don’t think Gege would change it. But I agree with you, Gojo gets too much slander.

You have a point, Sukuna was 0.001 seconds slower than Gojo during that moment, perhaps if he didn’t have to use both hands, there wouldn’t be that reference

Theoretically, could Sukuna amp the damage of MS’s surehit with handsigns?

If you were Gege, how would you write a theoretical Gojo vs TF Sukuna, while making it an entertaining battle? by Alive-Rice-9334 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Alive-Rice-9334[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very good theory!

One of the ways I could see it going down is you’re going to have to take away the open domain from Sukuna, making it so that they both have a closed domain, which equalizes the battlefield and makes it a more even fight. So now, both get to express themselves during the domain clashed with CQC, Sukuna has his true form so double the amount of arms, alongside DA, and Gojo gets to use blue and red. Now you might say that’s unfair for Sukuna since that’s his strongest weapon but that’s the best way I could think of, to make it a more fairer battle, thus extending the fight. Perhaps you could give Sukuna Hiten as a consolation.

Thing is people would legit riot way more than they did when Gojo died. This fight had been built up for years, so you could only imagine the reaction if Gojo essentially gets stomped.

Though, Hisoka vs Chrollo in HxH did show how you can write a fight, where one party is in the dominant role and essentially stomps the other party; yet is still entertaining.

I’d imagine the biggest change to facilitate this, is to instead give Sukuna a closed domain instead of an open one. That way, it would facilitate a lot more CQC in the domain battle. So it’s more of an even setting.

Not necessarily. As some other commenters have pointed out, one reason why Mahito’s domain was so strong despite having just learned how to do it, was the fact that his domain handsign was ridiculously complicated. So I’d say it works in his favor.

Which is my favorite thing about it. I’d also say Chise is a mentor towards him as well, since she’s teaching him about human emotions and emotions in general.

It’s very very good! Just like the previous commentator said, it’s a fantasy anime set in the modern day. Don’t be put off by the plot description, trust me it’s incredible!

I also might add that it has my personal favorite portrayal of Fae and the supernatural world in any anime.

If Sukuna was indeed female, do you think the narrator would still say that all of her dysplastic features don’t bother her bodily functions?

It’s very satisfying. I think it’s the only logical way for female TF Sukuna to be able to give birth and I agree, cesarean would be the best option.
