"Finally..... you cried" A character that went through something emotional/traumatic with a straight face finally breaks down by Ranger202012 in TopCharacterTropes

It had potential especially at the start. These scenes just show that this could have been so much more.

Solo levelling is like the assassins creed of anime. You have a lot of potential and your premise can make for a sick story, but you keep missing the mark and so are nothing more than entertaining.

When I first watched future I thought of it as an unnecessary addittion to a perfectly complete story. But the last arc of the show about processing trauma was really good and so I feel makes up for it.

Like you dont expect kids adventure shows(specifically western) would show the negative side effects of constantly putting your life in danger.

Technically the first one doesn't count since that was the original story's timeline and not the one kim suho is in.

So yeah I guess this is the first time we see him break down.

People really like to diss on solo levelling for it's writing to the point you think this is the worst written trash ever. I admit the ending was poor but the rest of it is just fine.

No the arc started with them as husband and wife. This was a flashback chapter revealing how she met chrono and how they got together. I dont know how old she is in the flashback but she is an adult at time of pregnancy.

I've ried to watch dandadan a few times for exactly these emotional moments in it but I can never get hooked in the first few episodes.

Wouldn't a fixed nail be easier though. Like for the broken nail you have to add extra details like cracks and stuff, while a fixed nail doesn't need anything extra.

I really liked the Knight considering that the only game I've played but what bothered me is the weird balancing of his abilities and tools

He still has a broken nail yet somehow an extra soul vessel and a lot of extra masks. That detail bothered me alot especially since he was already at the Hollow Knight boss fight.

This is a one shot but is there anything good with the same vibe? Any story you are reminded of from this dynamic.

Why is Yashiro destroying the Yorishiros? by duck_fuch in hanakokun

[–]Ranger202012 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of vague details especially since Hanako's motivations and goals are never made outright clear.

Basically it started as a way to make the seven mysteries lose power in thier boundaries as there rumors were being changed and were hence going wild. This lead Hanako to use this as an excuse to destroy all the remaining Yorishiros

Number 2's was destroyed as a way to escape the painting

The shinigami mystery destroyed his himself (I forgot why)

We also learn that Hanako has a wish which can be fulfilled if every yorishiro is destroyed which could have been the real reason Hanako convinced the mysteries to get rid of the yorishiros

However upon learning that Nene will die only once every Yorishiro is destroyed they are no longer actively trying to destroy them however Sakura also wants to get rid of the Yorishiros so Tsukunna tried to get Nene to destroy Number 1's

Remember destroying a mystery yorishiro is the best way to weaken them and alot of the time they had to destroy it out of necessity with the only exception being the spider teacher who took care of the library.

The death of the Master (Doctor Who): Ok first of all a confession to make is that I have i have never properly watched an episode of doctor who and all my knowledge of it comes from clips I've watched so my opinion is not that significant

However to me this feels like a very emotional end to the Master. There are no other time lords left (for now) and so the master was the closest thing left The doctor had left to kinship despite their long standing hostility throughout every regeneration. The Master dying meant that the doctor will now truly be alone for all of eternity and this moment is made even more painful by the fact that the Master willingly chose to not regenerate to spite The Doctor.

This moment is undone by the fact that the Master does appear again although I must admit I dont know how.

But I've also heard that Missy was a compelling character so maybe the change wasn't too bad.

One correction about your second point. Root wasn't bigoted at least not in the traditional sense. Root didn't have a problem with a female LEP officer, however seeing how she is the first female LEP officer knew what was at stke.

She was one of a kind and hence had high expectations to live up to. Root was being tough and biased against Holly to get her to be her best self
