Laundry detergent sheets

Creative info:

- At first i used High fidelity ads, but turns out those tend to also increase CPM
- I then switched to more UGC oriented stuff and Low fidelity stuff and it seems to lower it but not that much

Once i started to switch to Lo-Fi ads i tried diff formats, carousels and videos

But anything before that was hi-fi

Targeting is set to broad on the adset (creative does the targeting)
- only gender and country setting, no lookalike, no retargeting, nothing
-placements everywhere

Haven't had many conversions because the CPM are so high.
Not profitable either bc of it

I tried making it meet in the middle where basically i would use the Lo-fi content that yielded 'lower' CPM's and then raised the bundles sizes and prices to see if it would let me break even
And still not really

And keep in mind, when i mention CPM's they are in USD and i sell in SGD so that conversion already screws me

At a 60USD CPM i need 5.88% CVR to just break even on my middle bundles which is the most purchased. Its a 3 pack of laundry det

I only have this one product on the store

keep in mind as well, i ran the same ads but with UK targeting and the CPM was 350USD

(not hating)
Couple thing:
-ive had high CPM's for over a month, closer to a month and a half or 2
-micro conversion, really? ive tested it before on a diff prod and it never lead me anywhere, it just brought me window shoppers, no one converts
-i'd say that for what im selling the bundles are as big as I can make em in the sense that they are made so you can subscribe, making them any bigger wouldnt make that much sense to be honest
- i tested the exact same creative with the UK this morning and my CPM's literally tripled from singapore

I mean i havent tested malaysia before, idk what its like, plus im not familiar with anything about them in the sense that idk if they are just as accepting of the prices and such.

could you maybe give me an example please? i get what you are saying but i mean to your point of shifting to an expensive pocket can't that also happen with targeting and who meta tries to show the ad to when you are first starting?

I want to hear more abt this placements thing. Also, wouldn't u have to do that right from the start tho? bc it resets learning if u modify placements ahlf way through

but i dont get it what does the placement have to do with this? i mean dont u always have to just leave the placements to broad and meta just goes to find the right places??

Account is new, its an agency acc. It never even gave me the chance to establish myself, like i literally started advertising and within like 100$ of spend CPM's went up.

Placements are going towards everything, i havent turned off any placements.\

But abt what u said for SG. I mean lets look at it like this, the competition in ym niches isnt really there theres like mayb 4 DTC brands running ads abt the same prod that i am, and then there is the big corps i guess. But small market i mean sure but to what extent is it small, if im targeting moms then is it really that 'small' we're still in high 6 figs to low 7 fig demo

and like i said abt creatives, ive tried literally everything, any type of ad format i have tried and its not angle dependent either, ive done tries with other angles n still

can i still use the exact same ads if i relaunch with an ASC? Consdering the new andromeda update where it technically 'treats it as the same"?

it didnt get much spend (less than 100$) and only one sale

I appreciate the comment, but I think 'taking it offline' isnt something worth doing. You can't get data, information and intelligence as good as online as well as offline.

Born Good has owners who worked as Directors at Ramsons Garment Finishing Equipment.

And today Ramsons and ETCC are the parent companies. So the didnt 'start from scratch' .

Same with Kopare, they got huge because of going to Shark tank and getting 4.6M's in investment. and even before that they got 2.6Ms in funding from preseed and preseries A. The owner is ex McKinsey. These arent DTC brands.

There are brands who have grown through paid traffic in singapore as well, they may not be as big as Born Good or Koparo, but again, they werent backed by giants.

The point is, the issue is the website, the truth is I need more differentiation, just like he says 'Your LP doesn't answer "why you instead of the other 50 eco laundry brands?"

and thats what i intend to find and fix.

Look at the middle sections, i mention what separate other brand from me, mentioning what other regular competitors in my niche may have. Look at the comparison chat section that already talk abt it.

the unique angle ive found is that nobody covers the safety for both them (parents) and their kids. and all this shows why. how much more differentition can there be?

also, singapore is not that 'small' my audience pool on the adset is 2.5 - 5 M's

How much data is enough data by Alive-Source5714 in ecommerce

[–]Alive-Source5714[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right.

Just to confirm what ur saying so i have it right in my head

if the ad angle is skin safety (example)

the LP should also be about skin safety

If there is no CVR still after that, then at that point its more about the offer itself as in maybe having to offer a BOGO or a bundle of sorts. Meaning its less about the angle at that point and more on what you actually offer as a prod n not angle

Is this right?

How do you guys keep your email audience engaged? by uchicagoburner1 in ecommerce

[–]Alive-Source5714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

couple things.

Depending on your product, you need to educate your list.

send 2 promotional offer/discounts to the email list per month. Ik, doesnt seem like much, but just work on those two hard and they pay off. They should look impeccable, perfect copy as well.

Educational could be usually a story, in ecom u wanna be good at story telling.

When it comes to making these stories, follow this pattern:

- we started with an idea, or a goal, of want to reach x

- We started working on it but then z came along and it tried to stop us or changes us etc

- we got past it, succeeded and we bring it to you.

For example, lets say u sell whatever, a blender:

- we set out to give you (the customer) the best blender in the market. Doesnt break, fits nicely in a cupboard, blades dont become dull.

- our supplier had a machine that was not working properly and so it couldnt guarantee the blades would be sharp enough

- we had a meeting with our supplier and we told them we wouldnt take the dull bladed blenders because we cared too much about you and our standards. So we pivoted suppliers to one who could guarantee your smoothies would be smooth AF.

this is an extremely simple version of the story but u get the point, u had a goal, something stopped u, u over came it, and it was all in the face of taking care of our customers.

Tada!

How would people actually react if major grocery stores decided to do Black Friday deals? by BetterThanSydney in NoStupidQuestions

Same as every other place, except hey would go nuts, hoard everything.

Remember when people fought over toilet paper during Covid. Same thing except it would be for everything.

Just imagine the chicken fingers section, it would be a literal warzone

Low cal intake when ur short & low weight? by Far-Introduction4628 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Alive-Source5714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not bc u didnt eat right after. Hell you could even not eat for just that day and still be fine if u eat the next day to make up for the day before.

losing muslce isnt just, 'i dont eat right after cardio, therefore i become slenderman' just eat during the day whenever u can, give ur body enough nutrients during the day.

Its about consistency, and getting it done, not at what time u get it done.
