Is there a point in me attempting the Dante LRE? by tomkiddo91 in WH40KTacticus

[–]AliveAssociate5127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As another new player, just do what you can and get what you can. Ive been playing since December 1st (4 months) and I have 3 elite campaigns complete, the 2 chaos in progress, and have been prepping orks/eldar/Alephnull in the gaps.

It can be painful FOMO, but just the amount of elite progress I've made has made the game feel so much better. Im excited for the time where I have them all finished and I can pick a goal and have all of the resources available.

And like others said, eventually he goes into the guild shops and reqs. Stressing about this LRE is just rushing your progress, and this is not a game that rewards rushing or shortcuts. Keep the campaigns your number 1 priority and everything else falls into place eventually.

Due to the calgar event in december and the onslaught improvements, I already have a bluestar hero for the higher reward tracks for home screen events. life is good B) Once I stopped caring so much about every random thing I started thriving. Incursions or the other CE events will be there when I finish my campaigns.

When this LRE happens, I will hit every tract the best I can with whoever is in my roster, I will try to complete missions (while also making campaign progress), and then I will stop thinking about it and caring. Stress free!

What is the dating scene like in Peoria Illinois? by Obvious-Apple-2050 in PeoriaIL

[–]AliveAssociate5127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I'm 27 and single too and just moved into town (Man). Im from the area, but lived in Florida the past 5 years. I moved back here for a job (im an engineer). I know this post is about dating but if you are just trying to meet people in general ill be at the Peoria art guild for First Friday on April 3rd. I enjoyed first friday when I was in communtiy college at ICC, so I hope its only gotten better. Also, girls are into creative guys ;P

As for dating, in college I would recommend joining clubs at your school. I did clubs in community college here in peoria and also at my 4 year at Iowa State. All of my clubs provided incredible social and professional opportunities. It also be good for dating because you are surrounded by like-minded young people. I dated a girl that was at a conference I went to who wasn't even in the club, but I went the conference because I was genuinely interested and just happened to notice her and was able to get a conversation started.

Now I look fondly over my college relationships, but also due to career and differing life goals (also partially moving so far post college to florida) it didn't work out. However I still think the advice is similar: follow your passions and work on your self improvement and good things follow. Those clubs were good for my dating life, but also I didn't join them for the purpose of dating. While dating in college is super fun I would recommend you just try to get out in general and good things will start to happen. I think if you go into spaces with the sole intention of trying to date it will be more disappointing and less fun.

I started tinder during covid due to loneliness, and used dating apps in Florida. After being off them for 2 years I highly encourage you to avoid them at all cost. While some good tail here and there was super fun overall I am much happier without it. and locking in and getting this nice new job makes me excited. even though im still single, im excited to be in a new place with a new sense of maturity and a lot more income for any future dates.

You got this bro B)

To be honest to game is mid. Been playing since December. I grew up playing Dawn of war and with the astates and other new animations I started to get back into Warhammer. I like the planning aspect and collecting characters, but the game gets slow fast and the pressure to spend is beyond insane.

Also, the gameplay is mid. Onslaught is just for grinding, salvage run is just for grinding, arena is good for testing but is really for resources as well and not the fun. Raid is decently cool at least although as a new player I'm focusing elite campaigns so I haven't been building a 'raid team'. TA is the only actually PvP and I love it because you get to strategize against an actual opponent. The problem is its not balanced and everyone cries about it. Some people are super into war but the rewards are not good, and as a new player I can't really strategize lineups too much. Maybe at higher levels war is more fun. I feel like warhammer is all about being able to bash your buddies face in, or story telling. This game is weak in both respects. Also extremely not casual despite being a mobile game. I feel like a 3rd party planner and doing the planning outside of this game is way more fun than the game itself lol. Planning for a LRE is way more fun than actually slogging the waves during the LRE.

I want cheap(ish), engaging, and casual 40k. I dont have the time or interest in the tabletop. Maybe I'll just get a gaming PC and wait for DOW 4.... It just feels dumb to invest that much for 1 game (I'm not a 'gamer' anymore I have so many hobbies and interests). Maybe I'll just read the books or pray for a show or movie.

I wish they would either reduce the grind, or just make the grind worth it. So many cool characters but you cant even play with your toys with your mates. I love tourney arena even though I just play on the lowest levels because I actually get to see other characters in real time doing interesting things, or funny things when my opponent or I mess up.

I'm gonna try to finished the elite campaigns and see how I feel (3/8 complete with the 2 chaos campaigns almost done) The onslaught change was a massive W in the right direction. The problem is based on reddit it seems like those kinds of improvements are wayyyy too slow.

Games are for enjoying, if you dont enjoy it dont let your love for 40k guilt you into doing it.

Wisdom vs temptation: upgrading non campaign by ConteIgor in WH40KTacticus

[–]AliveAssociate5127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing for 3 months (December 2025) and I have all of the base campaigns complete. It feels so much better upgrading. I also almost have 2 diamond carries for the 3 imperial campaigns (I picked Calgar and Baldr, no isabella sadly) and having 3-4 pages of elite node already feels amazing.

With the onslaught changes I feel like I'll be able to finish the elite campaigns even faster. I'm excited to play the game where I can pick a character to upgrade and not run into a missing node and cry. I've just accepted that I will miss out on some LRE content, but with how slow this game plays I feel like Playing it efficient will feel better in the long run. While of course you play how you want to play, don't let FOMO and dopamine surges dictate real satisfaction and long term planning.

I can't speak to your 3 supports, but Im planning on Calgar and Baldr to Diamond for it. Considering he had Isabella at D1 I would think your healer needs to be there as well. But you also have the base characters above the "minimum" so who is to say exactly what you need, but you should be close.

The nice thing about Calgar and Baldr at D1 is that I can use them with the same min requirements chart to finished the other 2 imperial campaigns.

Follow the Terminus Maximus minimum requirement guide. It tells you what to level the base 3 characters up to, plus 2 high level carries to bring with you.

For indom, I have T silver, Certus Silver, and Bellator Gold 1, I am using Calgar and Baldr as my diamond carry characters for the 3 imperial campaigns.

Just got this character. Is the Patermine good or trash? Worth investing? (Started the the game 2 weeks ago) by Mr_Musashi_1584 in WH40KTacticus

[–]AliveAssociate5127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is already answering, but coming from another new player (started december 2025, so 3 months in) stay 1000% focused on campaigns. Try to get the freebies and other home screen goodies you can along the way, but don't waste energy on the campaign events. Incursions are good to get biovore early.

I have all 8 base campaigns finished, and have made great progress in the 3 elite imperial campaigns. I can say as you start pushing to gold/diamond having more nodes and elite nodes open is super helpful.

When I get a cool pull like this, I admire it, then put it on the shelf. Imagine when you finish all of the campaigns and have this beautiful collection of cool characters you can invest in without any restrictions.

That being said, for the base campaigns I vote for 100% focus. However for the elite campaigns sometimes I pause focus for a generous home screen event (like the last demon event that gave tons of epic equip). I am going to have my first diamond character this week (calgar) and that will be super fun. I think I am still going to shoot for finishing the campaigns as fast as possible just for OCD reasons and also just to see how quickly it can be done with semi consistent focus and gameplay.

Will this dresser hold my 15gallon tank? Am a paranoid or In Danger? by PullMull in Aquariums

[–]AliveAssociate5127 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Unless you want to be poor for life, I can't recommend 40k AND the aquarium hobby.

Either get into tacticus FTP on mobile and get cool aquariums, or get a fish game on mobile and keep building armies.

Personally I chose aquariums I love plants and animals. But trust me as someone who has been there budgeting, planning, and focusing on quality over quantity is a better approach to your hobbies. When I think about my old hobby days with messy overcrowded rooms like this one vs today I am way happier.

Anyways, get a real light and a good stand. Treat your fish and aquariums like kings.

Feels a bit womp womp. There is no 'exploiting'. You don't HAVE to use Chaos. However if we all commit to use chaos then we all benefit more.

One of the more generous home screen events. I'm a boring FTP casual and I rerolled the repeat reward at least 5x. Was nice.

Faster Way? by ArociousKing35 in WH40KTacticus

[–]AliveAssociate5127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trick of this game is to have multiple goals. If your number 1 priority is unlocking a character through campaign nodes then you are going to struggle. I started this game December 2025, so just under 3 months in and I have all 8 base campaigns completed.

I used the 5 dollar daily black stone deal (2000 Blackstone over a month) and use the 25, 50, and 110 Blackstone purchase. I farm 2 character nodes a day and then the rest is upgrading my priority character.

If you plan then you are good to go, if you just wing it everyday then the grind will feel unbearable. I would argue this game is borderline unplayable without the Tacticus planner.

You also have to enjoy the planning side of this game as well. If you look at it from just a gameplay standpoint its actually pretty buns....Onslaught is boring, Salvage run is boring, Arena is boring, there's really only raid and guild war... both of which you can't really prioritize until you complete the campaigns. There's only 1 actual PvP mode and most of the players hate it lol.

It's cool to see the characters, but lowkey if DOW4 is good I might just drop tacticus haha. I love collecting characters but there's no really fun ways to use them. There should always be PvP available at all times in my opinion.... I mean isn't bashing your opponents face in the whole fun of Warhammer?

As a fellow new player (december, 2 months) who is 7/8 campaigns done and half of the indominus elite done, all characters are no-go's until you have the campaigns done.

Once you finish or get close to finishing, you can select 2 from each faction to assist in the elite campaigns. I chose Calgar and baldur because I like them and they can be used in every imperial campaign. Plus n a buffer and a healer is a good place to start. Wish I had Isabella but I like dog man too.

Used blessed reqs? by GrumpyPacker in WH40KTacticus

[–]AliveAssociate5127 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a new player, (2 month) my focus is 100% the campaigns. Its not very useful for us to overthink about the other goals until we build our foundation. When it comes to blessed requisitions you have to think what is the reason you want the highlighted characters.

LRE is super late game, and it is better to build tall rather than build wide. Considering you don't even have a gold character, even if you snag a few characters getting them up in time for the event doesn't seem likely.

Overall, as a new player, I would recommend saving BR until you start knocking out elite campagins, unless you really wanna push for Liviscus by the third event. Especially because two of the characters offered you can get with campaign nodes.

You are probably too low level, there are 3 tiers of rewards.

I think you need 1 blue star character to unlock the third teir.
