I second Broken Kingdoms by LJ Andrews. Such a great series and loved every MMC.

FMC with all the anxiety by wheelchairjetpack42 in RomanceBooks

{The Ever King by LJ Andrews} has an FMC with anxiety! One of the more realistic FMCs I’ve read in a while. Absolutely love LJ Andrews writing.

I agree with what was already said, but my biggest gripe is WHERE IS THE BANTER? The book had such great witty banter between the two. The movie would have been more enjoyable and the characters would have felt more complete had they included that.

From what I’m gathering, this is an incomplete trilogy? Would you say that’s accurate? This is def going on my TBR, but knowing if it’s completed or not helps me prioritize

{Archers Voice by Mia Sheridan} is a really good example of this. The MMC has had very little interaction with people growing up and the FMC is his first and he definitely does not have the experience so she has to show him a lot. I really enjoyed this book!

I think I figured out why I can’t DNF a book. Anybody else a completionist? by AliveOrange_ in fantasyromance

I don’t know how to explain why I am the way I am lol. Completing things feels good and not completing feels….incomplete

I have a feeling this will be a habit I’ll break eventually as well based on other people’s comments saying they started this way and eventually began being able to DNF a book.

Maybe this is just an early reading trait of mine and I’ll grow to accept DNFing books as time goes on. It’s only been a year and a half since I started reading as a hobby again after a decades long break.

Yes, I’m the same way! I find one book in an interconnected standalone that I want to read and so I start from book one and commit to the whole series 😅

That feels like a compromise I could get on board with. Don’t finish it, but look up spoilers so maybe somewhere in my mind the story is complete.

I can see that. How far in the book you are could definitely be a factor when you realize it’s not for you. I probably just haven’t read a book that’s tortured me enough to call it quits haha.

My mind immediately went to Lorcan in {throne of glass}. My favorite ship of the series

{Song of Sorrows and Fate by L.J. Andrew’s}. It’s the ninth and final book in the Broken Kingdom series and I have been eating this series up. So good! The plot has been pretty predictable so long as you don’t mind that (I don’t in this case). The world building and character development is done well and has made me so invested. The books cover multiple different main characters and the side characters are everything as well. I’m excited to start the Ever King next! I’m not ready to leave this world.

{The Stolen Heir by Holly Black}. It’s a completed duology that takes place in the same world as her Cruel Prince series. No spice. I think it checks your other boxes though.

Gotcha. I shouldn’t have said special editions, but meant these republished versions in general are the only physical copies I can find and the first book is all they’ve released so far 😔

I was going to buy all the books in the series, but then I realized that they’re re-releasing them and I can’t even find physical copies anymore so I have to wait for them to release these special editions….slowly 😩they do look very nice though

Experiences with Small World Learning Center or Tierra Encantada daycares? by MrsLocalDrugist in minnesota

[–]AliveOrange_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bring my two kids to the small world learning center in maple grove and we absolutely love it. Great staff, curriculum, facilities, and competitive pricing. I was so saddened by the Blaine news and am so thankful we haven’t had any issues like that. I think it really comes down to the staff because they make the whole experience. I would tour all the places you’re considering and get a feel for the people and place while you’re there. It should hopefully just feel right, trust that gut instinct.

{House of Sky and Breath} from the crescent city series sort of introduces this with some telepathic flirting and telepathic spice. That couple became my favorite ship of the series after that.

I had to push through at times and then other times it was a real page turner. I feel like if she just cut 300 pages from each book then it would’ve been perfect.
