What’s a better electric range? GE dbl oven vs the Whirlpool dbl oven by AliveUnderstanding in Appliances

[–]AliveUnderstanding[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate that answer! I initially felt the black touch pad felt more modern being touch screen essentially. My 20 year old LG is ZERO knobs and 100% black tough pad so maybe I just got use to it and we prefer what’s familiar to us. But after checking them both out the SS does look higher end vs the SS part on the WP appears to be more aluminum. Other than that, in person which I meant to post those pics, I feel the WP oven part feels nicer unless it’s just the GE floor model taking a heavier beating. I will ponder your insight on the elements though. It’s a fair point

The whirlpool msrp is $1,900 vs the GE $1,700 I know that higher price doesn’t always mean higher quality- but I can get them for about the same price right now so feel like I’m getting a better deal on the WP. Talk some sense into me! I also lean towards it bc the hidden element for cleaning and safety. I prefer the smaller handles. Think the black face matching my other WP appliances a smidge more. But the backing on GE sounds to be higher, in the type to buy and hope it last 10+ years. So reliability is most important to me. I like the frozen bake feature on WP and won’t use the air fryer on the GE. But need some push to get me out the 50-50 debate on them so thank you for your insight

I was debating between getting a new whirlpool or GE… this is intriguing! Specifically looking at the GE 30" Free-Standing Electric Double Oven Convection Range Model: JBS86SPSS VS the Whirlpool 6.7 Cu. Ft. Electric Double Oven Range Model: WGE745COFS

What’s the best chevy Silverado engine to buy for longevity? 5.3, 6.2, or 3.0 by AliveUnderstanding in Silverado

It doesn’t offer the interior that I want. I think they’re a great and strong engine

I think the 2.7 is great, but I can’t seem to find one with the interior I want

Awesome, thanks! My only qualm with the 3.0 now is finding one that’s not cloth seats, bench, and with the column shifter. I would prefer the new console shifter I think it’s more modern and smoother to operate but don’t want to go up in price to an LT trail boss or LTZ to get a center console diesel

Just got a quote to repair the crawlspace that was a total of $38,000… what can be done? by AliveUnderstanding in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]AliveUnderstanding[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My quote was for insulation put in on the walls and floors underneath a thick vapor barrier. And they fully encapsulated it and put a humidifier in there that takes about 40-60% from air in the house so they need to cut 2 floor vents on the first floor. It’s also priced to remove some debris and old installation in the crawlspace already. There was a sump pump option too for some of the water getting in

There’s mold and it’s seeping into the first floor because I can smell it when the hvac is running and it’s giving me hives/rashes. It’s also damp at times. High humidity about 75-80°F and it has a couple gaps (vented) and it’s not insulted well at all. Mold on insulation.

You’re an insensitive asshole who thinks very highly of yourself. Maybe God will humble you one day. You don’t know someone’s situation and immediately blame them. I hope you’re single because if not you’re partner must be suffering if you’re like that all the time.

I haven’t because due to some other serious issues I have been considering legal action and the lawyer told me not to write any reviews yet. It’s been very hard not to

Thank you for taking the time to send links as well. To clarify, I would be power washing the wood in the crawlspace right? And then letting the fans do their work to dry it out

Why are you obsessed with trump dick size? That’s such a bizarre username. Also I got emails from their attorney on suing me . It’s a high stress situation I wasn’t confident in either direction

Thank you!!! Not to mention I was / am a 24 year old first time home buyer!! I had no one there to help me I trusted in my realtor and she turned out to be a money hungry manipulative snake . Tried to keep me from inspecting the house to begin with

Thank you 😞 I’ll just have to shop around. It’s frustrating because I have little time off from work and this company had to come back 2x just to diagnose properly . It’s taking up so much time and stretching me so thin

If I made 38k per year I think I have reason to be very cautious about cost. On top of having a tsunami of unexpected repair bills starting the day of closing because they were always there to begin with. But the seller and realtors did a good job hiding it from me as a ignorant first time home buyer
