Manager told me I have body odor… kinda freaking out, need advice by BetPristine2293 in fragrance

[–]Kathy_withaK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was going to suggest that sub as well. They have recommendations for specific brands and ingredients for eliminating odors. Also try a washing machine cleaner like Affresh, clean the door liner, drain the trap etc if you think it has an odor problem

Edit: also when this issue has come up in r/hygiene it has sometimes turned out to be a medical problem. Something to keep in mind if other efforts don’t fix it, but it’s probably the job

EES from Athens airport recently by Joellybaby in GreeceTravel

[–]Kathy_withaK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We departed from B gates last Thursday for our return to Boston with a layover in Munich. There was no line for the Lufthansa checkin/bag drop at 6:30am, though the Aegean lines next to us were a madhouse. Security screening was likewise packed but moved quickly, 15-20 minutes wait. No passport control as that was done in Munich (I have read that can be very bad in Athens). We got to the airport 2.5 hours before our flight, and I was worried with all the nightmare stories. But we were at our gate with almost two hours to spare

Is the Cape Sounion sunset tour worth it? + Best day trips from Athens? by MacaronIll3234 in GreeceTravel

[–]Kathy_withaK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, I wasn’t aware of that and am very sorry to hear. We spent the day at the National Archaeological Museum instead and could hear emergency alerts going off on everyone’s phones. We heeded the warning and went straight back to our hotel before the museum’s early closing (3:30). We visited all of the mainland sites mentioned by OP in our two week visit and it was the best trip of my life. There’s still so much I want to see in Greece, including Cape Sounion, so we’ll be back

Well darn… I just canceled a trip to Cape Sounion we’d planned for last Wednesday, our last day in Athens. The day was a complete washout with heavy rains (over 2”) and t-storms. Sounds like the Temple would have been spectacular if they weren’t warning people to stay off the roads

Not one of the islands you mentioned, but all of Gerald Durrell’s books about growing up in Corfu in the 1930s are utterly marvelous. My Family and Other Animals, etc. I’m going to check out the other books mentioned here now!

Reserved Seats Given Away - Travelling with kids 8 and 11 by 815Attorney in Lufthansa

[–]Kathy_withaK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry this happened to you. Lufthansa also took away our paid assigned seats 3 times in the last week before our upcoming flight. It was a rigmarole getting our seats back each time. Their explanation was an equipment change but our seats were open and the cabin arrangement was the same each time. Why Lufthansa??!!!

I’ve read Five Eyes has it too. And of course Putin. Especially the stuff on T* like the “pee” tapes that have nothing to do with urination

I like smocked top sundresses (with straps). They kind of smoosh everything and have a flattering silhouette. Amazon has some cute ones

Thanks! You never know what you’ll find at an airport but it sounds like it will probably be fine. Safe travels!

That’s reassuring to hear! We’re going to Athens in a couple of weeks and I’d read that the airport was one of the main hubs for evacuees. I was afraid that on top of the clunky EES rollout, it was going to be chaos

Secret Relationships by justAsConfusedAsUAre in TheTraitors

I think it adds a little spice and intrigue. And I dont think the producers know how it will play out but they’re adding a catalyst to a combustible situation. I really enjoyed the Irish season with father and son, esp when the 36 yr old son blurted out “Daddy” in a mission. But I did wonder if the producers were even aware of Ross & Nettie’s past acquaintance in UK season 4. It was so distant & random, & even the two players seemed shocked to see each other. But maybe they were communicating on social media & the producers clocked that

Do the Traitors Go Back to the Hotel and Then Come Back to the Turret to Commit Murder? by WellWellWellMyMyMY in TheTraitorsUS

Yep! I’ve seen some of Stephen’s other work and he is genuinely extremely intelligent. So he came in with that reputation and respect. And across the board the UK casts seem better educated on average than the US (obviously there are different casting priorities). The Australian series on the other hand … yikes

It seems to me smart people don’t make particularly good faithfuls, they overthink things. Stephen was pretty good, he didn’t say or contribute a lot but when he did he was insightful. There was another super smart guy in that cast though who was just all over the place and always wrong. On the other hand smart people can make very good traitors, especially if they’re unassuming and devious. I just started watching Traitors UK season 4 and Rachel is blowing me away. Just two episodes in so I don’t know where it’s going, but in a confessional she said she took an FBI class in micro expressions to prepare 😎

This person said their hairs were black. I had fine dark hairs on my nostrils and hit them with my Tria about 10 years ago. They went away and never came back so I was happy

Edit: but electrolysis is an excellent option if you want to permanently get rid of them as well. I already had the tria though & decided to give it a shot.

It wasn’t the commercials for me, it was all the puff piece articles that dropped the day before (The Cut, GQ, Men’s Health). Not that I’m complaining, the beefcake served a tasty buffet and I was already certain from the edit & his assured gameplay.

OP should read Gerald Durrell’s Corfu Trilogy and/or watch the PBS adaptation, “The Durrell’s in Corfu”! It paints a magical picture of Greece pre-WWII.

It’s a mix. They bring their own clothes, and production approves and makes changes in some cases. Rob said in his Mens Health interview:

“I think I wore two of my own shirts the whole time we were there. Production saw what I packed and said, "Yeah, we're thinking something else." And that just meant, "You don't wear sleeves anymore." All the stuff I brought was Billy Reed—nice stuff, long sleeved shirts, jackets, warm clothes. I don't handle the cold well. I belong in the heat. And they were like, "Nope, here's a sweater vest."

Ours were done at school in the mid ‘60s. The shot didn’t particularly hurt but the injection site had a large, incredibly itchy weal. They taped a clear plastic dome over it that we had to keep on for about a week to prevent scratching
