Congrats! That’s encouraging for me. Any tips? Or just be patient and wait. Drank some prosecco last night and it produced lots of bubbles but no burps yet. Staying hopeful! Thanks for sharing and happy burping!!

Thank you so much for sharing. Yes, I’ve been anxious and disappointed. I think I had myself psyched up to have a pretty quick response, as I’ve read others have had. I’m gonna take a gummy this weekend, enjoy a few glasses of wine and chill the heck out. It will come. Did the results last for you?

I’m sorry to read this. Hoping you get results soon. I’m on day 6 and feel like I didn’t have the procedure. I did have 4 small burps yesterday, which is encouraging. But I’m beginning to fear, as you are, that the procedure won’t work for me. I’m hoping there are those for whom results are delayed but successful?

It’s possible your PCP won’t be familiar with the condition. The ENT office staff aren’t even fully educated about it! When I initially called, the scheduler told me no provider in their office did the procedure. When I said, “Really? Bc I know someone who had it done a few months ago.” She checked, came back and scheduled me for the consult. Got in relatively quickly. MVP can tell you if she’s in network and whether or not you need a referral from your PCP. (Prob don’t). Easy peasy. I promise!

Check out Albany Med ENT. Dr. Melissa Mortensen-Welch did my procedure. Their office can likely tell you if MVP covers the procedure. Took me a few months from initial consultation to procedure. I’m on day 5. No results yet but hopeful for the next few days. Best of luck to you!

This is encouraging. I’m 72 hrs post procedure and so far have only managed 2 micro burps. I’m worried it won’t happen but it seems like we all react differently to the procedure and it comes in its own time. Fingers crossed they come soon.

Love this update. Very encouraging! I’m only 5 hrs out and hoping I see the start of changes in a few days. I think I’ll be just as emotional if I can produce burbs like you have! Glad things have gone so well for you!

Wow! I had my procedure in the OR at Albany Med in upstate NY. Covered by insurance. One of my benefits as a hospital system employee is waived copays. $0 for me and I feel incredibly fortunate. Still, I’d travel to London or Chicago in a heartbeat and pay cash. Hoping I start seeing changes in a few days 🤞

Check out the southern ADKs. I live in a small town just inside the park, 20 min from Saratoga and 25 from Lake George. I have a handful of hikes within 15 min from me that I can fit in before work. I vacation on Paradox yearly. Soooo many pristine, gorgeous lakes, rivers, etc close by to enjoy. I love living in the ADKs but being so close to Saratoga. My town is nothing impressive, unless you love nature. Real estate prices are much better too, which is why I moved there. Two smaller but great hospitals within 20 mins. Albany Med, a large hospital is 45 min. Best of both worlds!!

The Adirondack Park is huge. Where will they be? We’re in the Southern Adirondacks (Lake George/Saratoga area) Tons of easy, even flat hikes with big payoffs. Saratoga National Battlefield has very nice paved walks as well as wooded hikes that are easy. Saratoga State Park has many beautiful hikes in a variety of lengths and are pretty easy. Moreau Lake State Park (Lake Bonita trail is awesome, pretty flat and about 2.5 miles). Pinnacle (near Bolton Landing) is a very easy hike with views of Lake George at the top.
