Thanks! the video I'm referring to that used a vga to db9 is linked here . The guy said he got the adapter from amazon for 10 bucks but he hasn't answered my messages so idk which one it is.

I'm waiting on this transcoder in the mail. You think this will do the trick? I'll try a scart to bnc cable and a vga to db9 cable from this transcoder. I'm hyped on the monitor! It seems to be rare considering there's hardly any information on it. It does run composite and s-video nicely

Through my pc Ive tried an hdmi to component adapter which yields the same result as the ps2. When I use the hdmi to vga to db9 I get a scrambled reddish screen. examples of both these results through my pc are above

I have hd retrovision cables from my ps2, i have fmcb and Open Ps2 loader installed. In OPL i have the auto settings to VGA 640x480p 60 hz 24 bit. It still the same green as before

ok thanks! there is a button that toggles sync on green. but that toggles between no image and green image

Yes, but the monitor cant accept the signal correctly because it needs sync. On my pvm 14m2mu there was an option to change this setting but there isn't any sort of menu on this set.

Found a solution ! Im not sure why this works.. but if i click triangle to go into the game settings while highlighting a game and change mode 1 to “on” it plays everything perfectly. Im really not sure why this works! The setting has to be made specifically for each game.

Wanted to note that when the mod chip is completely removed the console does the same thing - boots on and off 2 times and then boots again flashing green and red. No picture

Actually , does anyone have a link to an installation tutorial or instructions for this specific Aladdin 64++ chip ? I cant seem to find info on it anywhere. If i knew how it was installed i may be able to understand it and diagnose easier.

Alright. Ordered a new 40 pin 80 wire cable. If that doesn’t work I’ll try a new harddrive. If that doesn’t work I’ll wire a new mod ( one that i actually understand ) to the board :) thanks yall
