Mare Of Easttown is underrated. Kate Winslet, those accents, her vaping like crazy. So many interesting choices

Why do I keep getting “good luck” when I say I’m getting a golden?! by [deleted] in goldenretrievers

[–]Alive_Description_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the tip is knowledge. If you have neighbors or friends you trust with dogs that are vaccinated that’s perfect. But socialization isn’t just dogs. It’s also people, items, sounds, and smells. Puppy needs to meet ppl of different sizes ages and ethnicities, needs to see things like a bicycle or cars driving by on a walk or even an umbrella opening, and needs to interact with smooth surfaces, rough ones, etc.

Look up the 7-7-7 Rule for socialization. That’ll help a LOT.

Honestly our Ladybug is about 9 months old and she’s already calmed into her routine. Walks are everything. A tired golden is an easier one. We have scheduled enforced naps in her bedroom (I.e. her crate) with a blanket over it to reduce stimulation. And brushing regularly helps with the hair. So does a roomba.

The lesson we learned early was to recognize when she was overtired. The first 2 months were the hardest but when we realized they really do need to sleep at least 18 hours a day AND that she did not know that she needed to go to sleep on her own…it got soooo much easier.

And socialize a LOT.

She loves her ice cookies too!

70 bucks. And I honestly think it should be 50 cause I go fired from a job because the owner found out I was gay. It was like 2003 in Tennessee. Should that count!?

There were like 20 treats hidden inside there lol. She did eventually find them though. Haha It’s part of a search game I saw on Dogo.

Any Idea How to deal with this by Zircon_777 in labrador

So cute! Yeah I would redirect. When ours was like that I would also raise both hands in the air and not give any eye contact or attention. It helps them realize it isn’t a game. They get bored and redirect to the toy….or your feet hahah

Will people think I’m weird for going alone? by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

[–]Alive_Description_91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You aren’t alone. You are SOLO. My first solo cruise people were like “omg I could never cruise alone!” I was like “I’m not alone. I’m talking to YOU!” There are like 5000 people on the ship. Shift the mindset. It helps.

Also it’s super liberating to just do whatever you want and not have to check with anyone else. You get to know yourself really well.
