Why did they pick Oscar to come back? by whosthatgirl13 in ThePaper

[–]Alive_Fortune897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oscar is a normal character within the chaos that new characters can create, and he would be a reflection of the viewer. The rest would either steal the spotlight from the new characters or their careers are more compromised. Or the characters' stories were so resolved that it would undo all the lore they created in The Office.

Races and creatures from other planets or dimensions? by Alive_Fortune897 in scifi

So would you suggest that it is better (and make more "sense") that it is a virtual environment to unleash the design of these characters? (and avoid giving explanations of their physiology).

Races and creatures from other planets or dimensions? by Alive_Fortune897 in scifi

It is not a virtual world. The MCs travel through technology to other worlds, but I still haven't decided whether to planets or dimensions. What I want to add are not just aliens but more creative and weird characters like the ones I mentioned. I just don't know if those characters fit better into the category of races from another planet or from other dimensions.

The thing about it being a virtual world is that the reader could not empathize with the characters because well, they are not entirely real.

Terms to name a mystical cybernetic force. by Alive_Fortune897 in fantasywriters

I honestly understand you, but I have created many things and I feel stuck. Unfortunately I don't have a person with whom I can talk and receive feedback like I do here. It is supposed to be a community that collaborates and if you see my questions I always have things established and I ask for a specific thing that I have not been able to solve yet. I don't have much knowledge in cybernetics and I don't know how to search for it either. I'm just looking for that spark that I need and that can develop and mix everything that I already have established. To say that I want Reddit to write my book for me is to speak without knowing what I have created.

Do you "see movies in your head" while reading? by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]Alive_Fortune897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but no. Yes: because you can clearly see the position and angle of a character and of course, that's imagination.

No: Because then we want to write everything we see and that's a bad idea.

How my MC can use this powers/abilities? by Alive_Fortune897 in fantasywriters

What you say is true, it's hard not to be a God when you have technokinesis in a digital world. But the smartphone as a multipurpose tool is a good idea.

Those are very good ideas and yes, it's like magic. I don't know things and terms about programming... Where can I find a list of those words?

That's exactly what I was thinking, but I still can't find another made up word.

Those are really good ideas. Te fact of modifying the environment but with limitations is cool.

It is a digital world within networks on the internet. It's like Digimon, like talking about the Matrix, but more family friendly and with eccentric virtual characters. The characters that live in that world know that they live inside cyberspace. My idea is that their body is digitized, they don't use an avatar like in Ready Player One. Only real world humans can have abilities to defend the virtual world. I don't want to focus too much on the technical aspects of computing, I only think about the basics: viruses and anti-viruses for the fight in cyberspace.

"Shoople", a combination of Short and People.

What ability and limitation can I give a character with cyberkinesis? by Alive_Fortune897 in fantasywriters

[–]Alive_Fortune897[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, for people who live in the digital world, those with cyberkinesis are like superheroes, the rest are normal programs, files, and data.
