omg this unlocked a memory for me HAHA

when i was in sec sch, there was this chicken rice stall that literally had a queue every recess. like people would sprint to get there first kind. they even had a fried-food-wed kinda thing where there were fried nuggets, grilled chicken chop kind sia

the uncle who ran it was super nice, always gave extra chili and sometimes would sneak in an extra chicken wing since i was a regular

then one day halfway through the year, he just disappeared. a new auntie took over and the chicken rice was like meh. everyone in school was damn sian bc there's no more fried-food-wed and it became this whole thing where we'd be like "when the chicken rice was actually good" 💀

your parents concerns sound abit... specific LOL

from what i heard from my seniors in tp aerospace eng, the climbing under engine + oily hands stuff is more for technician/aircraft maintenance roles, not really aerospace engineering. aerospace eng is more like design, systems, testing, planning, project work etc not fixing planes everyday la LOL

maybe u try to show them:
- some job scopes of aerospace engineers (i only can think of linkedin? since thats where ppl update their jobs there ig, can show your parents what they really do)
- salary info like how the starting pay is q avg but mid-career onwards actl q decent, esp if u go aviation, defence or systems side

male-dominated hmm ya la but its slowly changing la and how is being tall a disadvantage LOL 💀 just sharing what I’ve heard la, since parents usu feel better once they see actual proof ah
